Sky 17Mb line speed drop?
Hi all, Signed up with Sky 17Mb Broadband & Line deal in January this year, when last checked speed came up a decent 6.5Mb - we live approx. one mile from Exchange - this test was way back in May/June. Now back in UK and checked the folks speeds, not too happy to see we are down to 4Mb, which is far lower than speeds…

Openreach help
Hi all We've always had slow broadband, even using Fibre (3mb on a good day), but it has suddenly plummeted. So we told Sky, who did lots of checks remotely and said everything was perfect and that was just the best we will get (the fact it had dropped from 3mb to 1mb over 24 hours apparently is normal to them). So on a…

Which fibre ISP is cheapest?
Cheapest I can find at the moment (when all costs are added and cashback deducted) is Plusnet. But for some reason they aren't offering fibre at our postcode, even though most other ISPs are. I've called them and they didn't really give an explanation, just said there's nothing they can do. What other good offers are there?

Virgin Media, Worth Sticking With?
I have Virgin Media broadband and landline. This costs £55.40 a month, recently up from £52.26. It seems like a lot of money to me, just for broadband and landline. But it is fast and Virgin have just sent me a link to request 100mb speed. Am I paying too much do you think? I don't want pay tv. The way I understand it…

Router Left On, Will It Damage?
I have a TalkTalk router, which means it's probably not a very good one, does the job though. I want to leave it on over night to finish downloading something. Normally I switch everything off overnight. If I leave it on is there a chance it could overheat or something?
