TalkTalk Woes
Shortly after the hack of TalkTalk back in October 2015, I had a number of problems with the TalkTalk service, some of which (at least) seem to be down to the now crippled Talk2Go app. I had enabled the 'Follow Me' feature of Talk2Go but with Talk2Go no longer working, I hoped to set-up call diversion by getting a 'boost'…

Relish - be careful
Hi All, I went through the order process with no problems. They have asked me to send them the scan of ID and latest bill to prove the address. Because I have moved to a new place I have sent them a scan of my tenancy agreement. It is now Friday, the hub should be delivered on Tuesday. I have received a text from them…

BT Deal coming to an end (£6/month incl line rental) looking for alternative
My current 12 month contract with BT Fibre and landline is coming to an end at the beginning of June, so I am now looking for an alternative. The previous deal I got worked out at the equivalent of £6/month including line rental, etc. The best deal I can find at the moment is Sky (ADSL) at £0.00 for the ADSL, and £17.40…

Crippled broadband and no means to resolve
Just venting really, but if anyone has any practical suggestions I'd be more than happy to hear them! Briefly, for the past 18 months or so, our connection from Post Office Boradband has been fine during the day ( 2 - 3 Mbps, which isn't bad for a rural location several miles from the exchange). But, as soon as peak times…

EE - Changes to the price to your broadband plan
I had an email from EE last week telling me that "the price of your home broadband and line rental will increase by £1.00 a month". However I paid my line rental for the year upfront. It's not clear whether I'll still be subject to this £1 a month hike, as it is apparently for both broadband and line rental - there's no…

Should you notice a change when you upgrade broadband
I finally upgraded my broadband to fibre on Monday. According to the speed checkers I'm getting about 40Mb now compared to the 8Mb I was previously getting. The thing is though, everything seems to be exactly the same :o Should you notice a difference between 40Mb and 8Mb?

BT Infinity 1 Up To 52Mb
Lately, BT seems to make a big deal about Infinity 1 going Up to 52Mb. It used to be: Infinity 1 = Up to 38Mbps Infinity 2 = Up to 76Mbps Doing a speed test, I am getting 38Mbps, which is possibly a little bit faster than before. Just wondering if a physical upgrade is required, on the HomeHub, or in the street cabinet, to…
