Hi All,
Do you know if Plusnet's customers can use BT wifi hotspots in the country?
I mean these regular BT-Wifi or more powerful BT-Wifi-with-FON?
Plusnet is owned by BT.
Please let me know.
Best regards,

I'm assuming these are public wi-fi hotspots. Public Wi-Fi hotspots are irrelevant as to who you connect with at home. You just connect to them with laptop/phone/tablet/whatever and that's all you need to do. Provider doesn't come into it.0

The BT wifi hotspots are for BT customers and require a BT login .0

You need a BT Wifi log in to access the BT hotspots.
Unfortunately your BT Wifi account will be deactivated if you leave BT.
I moved from BT to Plusnet and do not have access to BT Wifi.0 -
I get 500MB free BT wifi with my Vodafone mobile plans.
None with my Plustnet BB account.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
You can sign up directly with FON by purchasing a FON router - that will give you access to BT WiFi with Fon. I use it all the time even though TalkTalk has no agreement with BT or Fon for use of BT WiFi hotspots...
I just checked and Fon no longer seem to supply a Fonera router but this website is selling them...

Hi Guys,
Thank you very much for your input.
BT is slightly more expensive comparing to Plusnet, but has 1 year contract comparing to 1.5 year at Plusnet.
In my opinion this BT-Fon wifi is a very good bonus or a very good backup.
In my location it is much faster comparing to cellular network in my heavily congested area especially in evenings - even the quality of voice goes down drastically.0
