Cheapest way to get t-mobile hotspot access?
Hello, I'm travelling on the train quite a bit these days and would like mobile internet access - Virgin Trains now have T-Mobile internet access on the trains I use. The trouble is that it costs a lot to access it - £5/hour or £10/day or £40/mo. Is there any other cheaper way I can get access? I know they allow access for…

Beginner's wireless question
This may sound like a daft question but if I install a wireless router in my house, do all the computers except the one close to the router have to be operated wirelessly? I have two PC's which would both have to have to be wired, preferably in different rooms, but the kids' laptops are wireless enabled. Thanks.

dial up compatability with Linux
I'm contemplating getting my Mum "on line" at the tender age of 70. Know which netbook I would get - Acer Aspire one running Linux. She's with talk talk for phone calls but unfortunately the cheap broadband offer they do doesn't cover where she lives. As she's completely new to computing I don't want to commit her to…

Sky Base too slow - Upgrade to Sky Mid, or move to someone else?
We're on Sky Base package broadband and even though it is advertised as being "up to 2Mb", speedtests show that we're only getting just over 1Mb/s which really isn't fast enough for us. We're not exactly heavy users, so we don't care about download limits. If we upgrade to Sky Mid for an extra £5 a month, is it likely…
