Hi
I am at this exchange:
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WRPIM (Pimlico)
What is the best (cheapest?) option that I have to get broadband and tv?
I don't need a landline but wouldn't mind getting one if slightly more expensive. e.g. 5 pounds more per month or so
Any inputs greatly appreciated, I am getting LOST

You need a landline to get broadband vis ADSL, whatever exchange you are on-how were you planning on receiving your service otherwise? A landline will cost you around £11.25 per month, not a fiver. The cheapest ISP's on your exchange are the LLU operators, namely O2, TalkTalk, Orange, and Sky.
Virgin Media is the only ISP offering TV services by cable. Otherwise you have the option of Freeview, Freesat, Freesat from Sky or Sky subscription. All these work by aerial or satellite dish, nothing to do with your ADSL line.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
OK - I checked with virgin and they say they can give me broadband WITHOUT the phone through fibre optic?
What is the cheapest option I have for tv channels (non-freeview?)?
Appreciate your insightful comments!

if not freeview, then try freesat0

Yes, you can have Virgin Media (cable) broadband only package.
What do you mean by 'non-Freeview' channels? Freesat line up is similar to Freeview is similar to Freesat from Sky. If you want non-Free to Air channels then you have to pay a subscription and take your TV from Virgin or Sky. Depends which particular channels you want.
Or if you just want 'basic' TV you can still get the 5 analogue channels in your area for a couple of years still. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
