Is Virgin Broadband and phone any good?
I posted a message re Tiscali. I had many replies and thank you to all. I think the consensus of opinion was don't touch Tiscali!! I can get cable where I live and Virgin offer a Broadband and phone package which is not as cheap as Tiscali but cheaper than I am paying now. I am not a heavy user - don't download music etc.…

Sky Base or Mid Broadband- Any Good?
Just got Sky TV installed and when looking through the stuff they send it says that I can get Sky Base broadband free or Sky Mid broadband for £5 a month. Currently paying £12.99 a month for my broadband connection so would be making a saving here. Don't want to go through the hassle of getting a MAC code etc if Sky…

Help broadband speeds
Hi. We currently have Sky broadband as we thought it would be simpler to have tv and boadband etc with the same company. I am now getting really annoyed with the speed of our broadband connection (512 only I think). Think Sky have said that is the best we can get because of the BT exchange distance or something. My husband…

BT Broadband - what to say for best deal?
Has anyone got any ideas please? I'm with BT at the minute for phone and broadband (basic package) and as I've never had any problems I'd like to stay with them. I'd like to get wireless broadband but on their website it says you get 250 wifi minutes per month - that's only just over 4 hours which seems a bit short. Does…

Are Sky in breach of contract? Should I fight?
About three months ago I was happily floating along with my £20 BT broadband package and digibox then one day a Sky salesman collared me in a shopping centre (well i say collared but I was loitering around his stand watching shrek while the other half shopped for computer games!) He checked my phone line and said he could…

Skys attempt to buy Tiscali falters.
"BSkyB has reduced what it was originally willing to pay on concerns over the business's exposure to the consumer downturn and the state of Tiscali's UK operation. " http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/3902691/BSkyB-talks-over-Tiscalis-UK-business-stall.html

Stopping a move of broadband supplier, any way?
Hi, I ordered a change of broadband supplier and gave them my MAC code. Is there any way now to stop this change as the new provider has proved to have the most horrendous customer service I have ever suffered. I do not want to be held to a 12 month contract with these idiots. Your help appreciated.

Cancelling Tiscali broadband mid contract
We have tiscali broadband and its a contract until May/June 2009. Is there any way of cancelling the package without having to pay for the months ahead we wont use? We are moving back in with my parents who already have internet otherwise we would just transfer it over. Seems like a waste to have to pay for it when we wont…

Which package would be best for us..?
We've been on AOL for a loooong long time, way way back in 2001 i think was when we first started with them, but now we're looking at cheaper alternatives. At present, we're an old AOL customer, so we dont have a set usage limit, other than the fair usage policy, so im not sure which would be best for us... At present, the…

Free BT line installation + free orange broadband?
I am looking at my home phone/internet options and was going to try this? I am currently with Virgin Media and paying nearly £40 a month for phone and internet, so would need a BT line installed to go with any other providers. I see BT are doing free line installation until the 23rd (as long as you sign up to one of their…

Best uncapped/high cap cheap broadband?
I'm thinking of fleeing Sky for Freesat+another BB provider since they're putting up their broadband prices. But which? Talktalk looks cheapest but they've had a terrible reputation for customer service. Has it improved any? Is there any other low-cost BB provider people recommend? (Martin suggests Plusnet which I have…

Changing From AOL and BT To Sky
When changing from AOL and BT to Sky, do you cancel their services before you apply for Sky or after, I don't want to run into any trouble.
