Getting A Mac Code Out Of Tiscali

I'm trying to change my elderly uncle's Tiscali dial-up internet access to BT broadband, but am unable to get through to anyone at Tiscali to request a MAC code (the contact number goes into an automated answer system which just goes round and round.):mad:

Grateful for any advice any of you clever folk can offer.

if its dial up you don't need a mac code but you will need to call them to cancel it

unless its an free one eg 0845 or 0844 number you call then you don't need to call them

I had to cancel my Tiscali (Broadband) service last week. I rang 08450 774488 and spoke to James. He was the first 'human' person I'd spoken to at Tiscali for a long time and sent me my Mac code within half an hour. He was also very sympatheitc to my plight with Tiscali (no service for 16 days) and had me wondering why they didn't employ more like him.

As previously stated if on dial up you DON'T need a MAC
