Which package would be best for us..?

We've been on AOL for a loooong long time, way way back in 2001 i think was when we first started with them, but now we're looking at cheaper alternatives.
At present, we're an old AOL customer, so we dont have a set usage limit, other than the fair usage policy, so im not sure which would be best for us...
At present, the internet is used daily, to check emails and watch videos on youtube etc. It's not used to download large files but we do sometimes use the internet with the Xbox 360... It's used to play online on multiplayer games, but not for long periods, an hour at most on weekends, and an hour during the week.
So far, with whats available in my area [not alot haha!], ive come up with these two packages from Plusnet as they are the cheapest, and ive heard good reviews from them!
From the details above... which package would be advisable for us?
Option 1 - £9.75 a month - 2GB limit.. contract length 1 month.
Option 2 - £14.65 a month - 15GB limit... contract length 1 month.
My other alternative is Eclipse Broadband.... they do a good deal for £12.67 a month, 10GB usage limit. But i've never heard of them before... Has anyone else?
Thanks in advance

if you are happy with AOL, why not demand a lower priceUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

What on earth would I say to demand such a thing? I'm terrible at negotiating!
Is it feesable to ask if they can match the prices we've found, and if not could we request a MAC code?March 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820 -
Has your exchange been unbundled by any other provider?
LLU
If you let us know who is shown under LLU Operator Presence on the right hand side.
If there are any other providers that have unbundled your exchange we may be able to recommend another solution.Waddle you do eh?0 -
look at the deals for new users, say it isn't fair and demand a MAC. Be aware any new deal would enatil a new contract.
use the exchange search @ samknows to see if sky or o2 are available in the LLU list, if they are then dump aol and go to sky if you have sky tv or o2 if haven't, both aremuch, much better than AOL, chances are, if you've had aol for 7 years you won't know what you're missing!Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
!!!!!!... Im paying a hell of a lot more than the other packages!! For something I barely use anyway... Ill have a look at sky...I know for a fact we cant get o2 broadband as ive looked into that, im on contract with o2 and noticed the cheap price!
I cant believe they are seriously ripping off customers without letting us know the full extent of the new packages!
Im shocked :OMarch 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820 -

I have no idea what this means, but i hope you have some ideaMarch 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820 -
it means that aol have probably got you on their cheap, own brand service and you should (i think) be able to get it for a tenner a month if you speak to retensions, though I'd move!Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

I've just rang up AOL and spoke to a crazy Irish man regarding my account, and what could he offer me.
He said... Apparently, because of my exchange location, they have to pay £10 a month to BT, which means any offer thats at £14.99, is £24.99 to me, and that I couldn't get the packages that were offered on the website... and he tried to fob me off with getting broadband with a package for calls, which i swiftly told him no thank you and a broadband package was what i was looking for... after some umming and ahhing, he told me that i could get the same package as im on now, for £14.99 a month... which is the same package on the website, but the website says a 10GB limit, however he said i had no download limit, and its EXACTLY the same as my current package... am i being thick or does this guy NOT know what he's talking about? He has contridicted himself 3 times in the one phonecall...March 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820 -
i am with aol and i was on a 9.99 contract
with fair usage policy
i rung them out of the blue with still 7 months to go on my contract
informed them that my mobile fone company had offered me free internet
( even though they had not )
spoke to the indian dept and i asked to be put through to retentions
they offered me internet broadband at 6.99
and unlimitef 24/7 calls
even though i am on that already
landline number for aol 01179191100
cheaper than 08 numbers
hope that helps0
