You should have given us a chance to get back to you I think I could have bettered that deal for you.

However, as you are happy with AOL anyway then there was no need to leave I guess and you are now paying less.

We are more than happy with AOL, it was just the price that was a pain in the bum. But what theyve offered is more than acceptable in my eyes.

What way could you have bettered the deal, im interested to know :O Nothing is finalised with AOL yet, I have to speak to my Dad first, as once I move out, he will be paying the bill, not me. They've got the price change on hold until tomorrow. I've got the guys name and email who offered me the deal so I could always barter it down if you have any more suggestions... or even go elsewhere if you have any more suggestions on that front?

  • did you get the 24/7 calls thrown in

Nope, its just the broadband I want. I'd need to have their line rental etc if i wanted that.

Hey, ive had no problems with AOL, ive been a member since 2001 and have just managed to get my price down even further with them without losing out on any services im already using!

My router came quite fast when i upgraded to broadband, but that was years ago... They should've sent it recorded, or with some sort of tracking facility. Have you asked them for a tracking number, or proof of delivery?

You posted this as a reply to another query regarding AOL are you the same person?
  • Yes... that would be me...

One minute you are singing their praises the next you are scrambling for a MAC CODE!
  • I'm sorry?
I AM singing their praises... Where have I once mentioned I dislike their service? :|
I refuse to pay a large amount of money for something I rarely use though, hence this post, and hence me looking for a better deal elsewhere...

If you rarely use the service you are not the best person to be giving advice.
  • Having been a member of AOL for 7 years, I think I'm well within my rights to comment on the services I have received from them, however... Where was I giving advice?

EDIT: Maybe I should explain a little before you reply... I'm 21, I've been using the internet since I was 14. I used to use the internet quite excessivley throughout being a teen, and decided seeing as I was the sole user in the house, It would benefit my family if I paid for it... which I did. But as i've grown older, the need for unlimited broadband at such a price isn't my top priority anymore, so now I'm looking for something cheaper, which if AOL can provide, then awesome, but if I can find a better deal elsewhere, then out comes the MAC code im afraid, good service or not.
