Hello all! I have just picked up a free pack of lamb mince from Waitrose with a voucher they sent me (yay!). However, I'm a veggie although my other half isn't. I also have meat-eating family here this weekend so thought I could make lamb burgers for them all. However (again!) I have no idea how to do this! I've been…

Plant containers o my decking
I just got some lovely containers and planted standard roses in them. I want to put them on my wooden decking. My husband says the decking will rot underneath the pots. Does anyone have any idea of a cheap way to make some legs, ones which only touch the decking in a small way ie a point?

Chorizo gone off?
I bought a ring of chorizo sausage from Sainsbury's a few weeks ago, chucked it in the fridge and forgot about it until this evening. It now looks weird: brown in colour, rather than red, and there's some kind of white (fatty?) substance on the surface. I don't know what it tastes/smells like as the packet is still sealed.…

How long does butter keep in the freezer?
Seeing as how Waitrose has currently got a worthwhile offer on the block butter we like (Kerrygold), I'm intent upon getting some to keep in the freezer. But how long can I reasonably expect to keep it frozen and it still be just like a block straight from the chiller is when I eventually defrost it? (I did the obvious and…
