EON Fix Online 4 ending
Hi With Eon fixonline 4 due to end on 1st Feb, I have been looking at what is currently available, namely fixonline 9 and saveonline 4. The discounts are nowhere near Fixonline 4, so are you going to bite the bullet and sign up to either of those or wait? Sue

Should I switch from oil to gas?
Hi. I've moved into a house in the past year that was built around mid-late 1980s. I think by the looks of it the same original boiler is still in place. Our current central heating is oil. I had the boiler serviced not so long ago (the fiancee was in, I was out - bad idea??? :-) ). Only joking, anyway, the dude said it…

edf online saver 6 - economy 7
HI all... Was wondering, we're on the above tariff right now and I am curious as to if we can just go onto normal rate all of the time instead of economy 7? We don't really use the e7 rate much and it would be a little cheaper if we didn't. Is it as easy as calling and getting it sorted?

No bill question
Hello, I'm tearing my hair out with this so any help appreciated. Have been in a flat for over a year and have not received an electric bill. I have done quite a bit to try and sort it: Contacted every supplier I can think of - each denied that they were supplying. Contacted the regional supplier who couldn't help me name…

Claim comp from CE Electric for loss of water supply?
Can anyone advise? My electric supply went off December 11-12 (until today Jan 5) and during the repair, the ground outside my front gate was dug up as was my front garden. All was left uncovered thus exposing the water pipes, which froze. I contacted the water board who said the supply was fine and that they were not…

Switching fuel suppliers, and protected tariffs
I am investigating changing my fuel supplier and gaining some of the savings illustrated here on MSE; however, I am currently on a Price Protection tariff and they would charge a fee for switching before the price protection finishes. I believe the protection ends in Feb or March (will check paperwork) but just wondered if…

Am I on track?
I sent a meter reading to eon yesterday, to cover the period September 30 to December 28. My last reading in September was also an actual meter reading, not estimated. I pay £54 a month DD. When my bill came back yesterday it shows that I am now £56 in credit. I am very relieved as for the past two weeks the heating has…

EDF Switch to Online S@ver 7
Hi all, Happy New Year to you. I applied for a switch to EDF's Online S@ver 7 on 29/11/2010. Everything seemed to go swimmingly until the 24/12/2010 I had an email asking them to send a meter reading for my electric so they could switch it. I sent the reading on Boxing Day on the online account but on the site it is still…

Npower SoLine 21
SoLine 20 has now been replaced with SoLine 21, and they have whacked up the prices, so I guess they won`t be topping any of the switching sites now! :rotfl:

Not sure about switching to Eon?
Am currently with SP, have until 17.1.11 to notify them if I do not wish to go onto the Energy saver7. Looking on all the price comparism sites they are all showing Eon as the cheapest with savings over £300. One states the prices will be 6 per cent lower than their standard charges until 1.12.11. My dilemma is that they…

Boiler trouble!
I've been having trouble with our boiler for the past month now. It's an Ideal Mini combi boiler and we had it installed in 2006. The problem is that when I go to turn it on it makes the noise like it's starting up but it doesn't actually ignite it just keeps making the start up noise over and over (a bit like when you…

E.On ignoring intermediate meter readings!

Reading a dial meter: which instructions are right??
We have a dial meter for electricity and I have always found it problematic. Today I had to submit a reading to a new site: www.myreading.net, and realised their instructions, published below, are completely different from the usual ones. I also found the other type of instructions vary slightly but the two I am publishing…

EDF E7 standard to EDF E7 Energy Discount Plan v4
Looks cheaper from their letter and I suppose we'll have to move to it, but what will happen to it come the end of the price freeze on 1 March 2011 - will it be up by proportionally more than the standard E7. Can anyone see anything wrong with the calculations I did here, please? The other thing is whenever I use a price…
