Nut Allergy sufferers Beware- Fin Carre Chocolate mis-labelled
Hello! I just wanted to make a post to warn any fellow nut allergy sufferers who shop at Lidl. I wanted to make some brownies and so needed some baking chocolate. The selection at Lidl is unfortunately quite limited so I didn't have much of a choice but to buy the 'Fin Carre Milk Cooking Chocolate'. To my surprise upon…

How to best spend? Especially at the supermarket
Hello! I am wondering what is the best way to spend day-to-day? At the moment we have a joint NatWest Rewards account, a NatWest rewards cc, an Amex and then a couple of cards for travel. We tend to chuck everything on the Amex and Natwest cc but do you know what is the optimal way of doing this? Are Tesco ccs worth it? I…

My question is this:- on the coupons section of the app, I have one for double points for 2 uses. If I was to add this to my Clubcard, would I get 4x points? We have held off adding it as didn’t want to lose…

Careful - not all cafes in Asda stores are Asda cafes
If you are going to go to Asda Supermarket to get the free porridge and a hot drink then beware as the majority of cafes are run by Green Street who are independent of Asda. I went to the Asda at Cribbs Causeway this morning and found this out, which I accepted - but then when I heard them advertise it on the in-store…

ASDA organic prices
For years, I have praised ASDA for great quality organic produce, at comparatively reasonable prices. At the weekend, I noticed that ASDA organic ripe avocados had leapt in price from £1 each to 1.20. It looks like ASDA has raised quite a few organic produce prices. Husband bought an organic cucumber from Sainsbury's for…

Iceland fresh milk changed from 4 pint to 2 litre carton
Does anyone know why Iceland milk is now in 2 litre cartons instead of 4pints? (My arithmetic is not good but it looks as if 2 litres at £1.35 is cheaper than 4 pints at £1.45) Maybe it is a reduced price for a short time but I did not notice the difference until I got home and noticed the smaller amount of milk.

Lidl App
Is anyone else confused with the Lidl App? I have been shopping in Lidl for years but chose not to sign up for the app as I am fed up with supermarkets trying to extract personal data from their customers. Today Lidl had their usual fruit and veg offers on display and I picked up some reduced blueberries. Further into the…

Flora Buttery big change to ingredients
Just compared a tub of Flora Buttery in the supermarket with one I already have in the fridge. It's been completely re-formulated (and they make a big thing about this in their publicity!) so now it doesn't contain palm oil. It also now has no buttermilk, but instead has coconut fat and "faba bean preparation" whatever…
