Flexible ISAs: Current year subscriptions can no longer be replaced in a different ISA
This came up in a thread on the main savings board, but I thought it worthy of its own thread, as several forumites make use of ISA flexibility to move money between their various ISAs and it has been the subject of quite a few threads in the past month or so. Original thread is:…

Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List
Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List **Please note: The list of ISAs I have compiled below is continually updated. New ISAs are added as they launch and withdrawn ISAs will be removed from the list. ** The current Cash ISA limit is £20,000 for the 2024/25 tax year. **As with any financial product, before opening an…

Can you have multiple ISAs with Shawbrook?
As title, I can't see anything in their terms that says no. Reason I ask is that I was just wondering - since the ISA rules about how many you can open per year have changed - and how Shawbrook seem to allow deposits through out the term, theoretically could you open say 3 year and 5 year fixes with the minimum deposits…

Trading 212 easy access ISA 5.2% APY and 1% cashback. Too good to be true?
Hi all, This sounds just too good to be true and I wonder if I have missed anything or if this is just an account that beats all the other market offers at the moment? I am a bit confused... Trading 212 offers an ISA and offers 1% cashback (not counting towards an ISA allowance). The cashback is paid within 3 business days…

ISA - Stocks and Shares
I have a Help 2 Buy ISA with Halifax, I understand you can now have as many Isa's as you want. I opened the 7% savings account with Co-op Bank, also Starling current account they only give interest up to 5k so I need to consolidate money elsewhere, also a small amount with Kroo, they give interest every month which is a…

Investing gross or net of interest?
Hi I'm planning to to open a 1 year fixed term cash ISA that pays interest annually at maturity, and transfer in from previous years' ISAs. I want to ensure I get the full £85k protection from FSCS. So: 1. Can I transfer in the full £85k initially and because the account only pays interest annually my balance would be £85k…

Transferring ISAs to Virgin Money
I opened a fixed rate ISA with Virgin and want to transfer other ISAs to it, one from Santander and another Virgin one. Because the other Virgin one has a different sort code to my new one apparently I have to fill in a paper form and post it the same with the Santander. I find it incredible these days I can't do these…

Keeping LISA, SIPP and ISA with the same broker
Does anybody keep all tax sheltered accounts with the same broker to minimise fees? If the broker has a maximum yearly fee, and it is across all accounts, it could make sense for investors who's total holdings are large enough, but separate accounts are not. However, I know the main 3 mentioned here (DODL, AJbell and HL)…

Interest on cash ISA counting towards £20k deposit limit
Hi, I have an older ISA that's about to mature, I have not made any deposits into it (or into any other ISA) in this tax year. Today I checked the balance (as the interest was added recently) and for some reason, the total allowance that should be £20k for this tax year is reduced by the amount of interest that was added.…

ISA virgin....(Not R.Branson, just a newbie)
Are cash ISA interest payments tax free? Are any "easy access"? Is interest paid monthly? is 5% achievable? TIA

Is it worth withdrawing existing investment accounts and reinvesting into ISAs?
In the last few years I set up a few different investment accounts on different platforms and invested a relatively small amount into each... * A Nutmeg Stocks & Share account. * LoanPad P2P Lending account. * Kufflink P2P Lending account. * Crowdproperty P2P Lending account. But even though all these platforms offer ISA…

I am divorced and no longer have the family home as an asset, my ex-husband brought me out. I had a considerable amount of debt so no longer have that money. Can I class as a first time buyer again with regards to the government Lifetime ISA?

Multiple ISAs one provider?
Are there any providers that offer opening multiple ISAs (e.g. 2 Cash and/or 2 S&S) within the same tax year? Why? I want to save money for my kids and don't want them to gain control of it when they are 18 (as with a JISA). I don't mind it taking from my own allowance (as unfortunately I won't reach it) and having…

LISA for a “fixer upper”
Hi all. I’m a first time buyer and had my LISA for a number of years. I’m intending to purchase a house that is fairly run down/dilapidated that I want to fix up. I intend to use my LISA to use as a deposit on a mortgage. If the mortgage I could get is higher than the value of the house, am I able to use some of the…

Shawbrook fixed term ISA T's & C's query
It has been mentioned in a few threads that the Shawbrook fixed term ISA is unusual, as it has no 15/30 day fixed funding window. In the T's & C's of the three year fix ISA it says . Please note that the Bank reserves the right to withdraw this product at any time. If the product is withdrawn, you can continue to put more…

Drip-feed from Cash ISA to S&S ISA
In the new tax year I plan to add £10,000 to a fixed Cash ISA and £10,000 to my existing S&S ISA (HSBC GIC). Under the new rules, am I allowed to additionally open a flexible easy-access Cash ISA, fund it with the £10,000 intended for the S&S ISA, then use that to drip-feed the S&S ISA? Thanks in advance for any replies.

ISA transfer to ZOPA - FAILED
Hi everyone, I was looking for some help/advice on what I should do next? I tried to do an ISA transfer mid December when Zopa started taking transfers, It still hasn't been completed and I currently have no access to my funds. After complaining to Zopa, I found out their system had no tolerance to accept funds greater…

Moving S&S ISA Same Year
Hello, I have maxed out my ISA this year 50/50 between S&S ISA and Cash ISA. I am not so keen on the provider for my S&S ISA. Can I sell my S&S and move the money to another provider this year? Also, same question but for cash ISA if I find a better rate if that happens.

Plum...Is it just me ?
Eventually got round to setting up a cash ISA as I realised I was going to end up paying a fair bit of tax on one of my savings accounts which was bringing in over £100 a month in interest. Plum seemed the obvious choice but I just can't believe what a guddle it turned out to be. You have to link a current account etc…

How do Flexible (Easy Access) ISA's work with the New Rules (24/25) ?
I appreciate that Easy Access Flexible ISA's have previously given you the opportunity to: * Add in cash (into Easy Access Flexible) up to the ISA limit (£20k) * Take it all out again * Add back in (same account) within the same Tax Year (up to £20k) My question is, now that you can subscribe to multiple cash ISA's in the…
