  • If you're concerned about Jet 2 automatically taking money from your card be aware you are able to prevent future payments by contacting your card issuer.
Here is a link detailing your rights and what to do:

    Excellent, many thanks for that.
  • Although reading more closely, this seems to not apply, as I'd be paying for a service-
"The rules about cancelling future card payments do not apply to card purchases for goods or services, such as in a shop or paying a hotel bill."

  • I have gone on to manage my booking and under the cancel  option it allows me to do this however it says that the charge will be 1240 which is what I have paid so far not the deposit as stated ???

    i can’t edit my holiday

    frustrating
  • Can anyone help?
I have booked to go on holiday with jet2holidays in July. I have paid a deposit and the remainder is due to be withdrawn from my bank next week. I now need to cancel my holiday regardless if flights are back on in July. I wish to do this before the remainder of the money is withdrawn. I have emailed Jet2 holidays several times but have had no response. I appreciate they are really busy but I need the money for over the next few uncertain months. Any advice?

The deposit was taken as a direct debit from a current account but before CV19 kicked off I changed the future payment(I.e next weeks) to be withdrawn from a credit card account

Call the Credit card company and withdraw consent, they have to do with as long as it is a least the business day before
EG  Thursday if the payment due to be taken Friday,  Or Friday if the payment due to be taken Monday

  • Were due to fly july 18th, we just want a refund minus the deposit. The balance is due in a few weeks but no guarantee they will cancel the holiday yet and I really dont fancy going.
I am the same as you but can’t get through to cancel! I need the money due to be withdrawn over the next few uncertain weeks/months. Do I contact my bank and bloke the transaction? Did you get a response?

We are in same position  however when we went to cancel it said that we will lose 1240 not just the 240 deposit
  • The Spanish lockdown started whilst we were in Spain. Our return flight to the UK was cancelled by Jet2 and they told us we had to rebook our flight in order to get home. We did this, at a cost of € 1708 for two people. The plane was not full. Whilst I appreciate it’s difficult times, I feel this is an extortionate amount to be charged and have asked Jet2 for a refund of €1000. I am not getting a positive responsive on this. Any advice please
