Isn't travel insurance for when all else fails, not for jet2 evading ther responsibility? Did yout have to book with a different airline or was it still Jet2?

I missed a call from jet2 on 23rd april regarding a refund due to coronavirus.
My phone only rang twice which wasnt enough time for me to answer. I tried calling back but it was automated so couldn't speak to anyone.
They haven't tried since to call me back and now I fear I will have been put to the back of the calling queue.
We were due to go on holiday on 4th of may.
What if they dont call again before my travel date, will I still get a refund?0 -
Course you will.0

I've also sent a letter registered post and emailed the amendmybooking email address.
We shouldn't have to be battling for a cancellation when were before the payment due date. In my opinion Jet 2 are imposing barriers now, I do not believe that this couldn't be done online by the customer in the correct manner as per the terms of the booking. This will all come out in the wash and companies that have misbehaved in this manner will pay a deeper price over the long term.
This is the time companies should be looking after their customers and not rigging it to extract the maximum amount of money from people just to shore up their current accounts. I'll say it again, when the shoe is on the other foot, travel companies are quick to impose the terms of a booking, we should be able to do the same.

Unsure whether to go in the direction of section 75 with the credit card company as they (Jet2) don't respond to messages on either Twitter and Facebook. At present given them a chance to get back to me, as they probably got a backlog to get through or more like holding on to the cash and releasing it out slowly since there isn't an option to get refunds back to card.0 -
We’re due to fly 25th June for my stag do . We’ve only paid £60 deposit each so far but the remainder is due 30th April. I can’t get through to anyone at Jet2 to try and extend this and my friends don’t want to pay anymore as we doubt there’ll be any flights abroad anytime soon. We’ve had to reschedule the wedding until next year as the venue aren’t having weddings until further notice and we don’t want to spend lots of time and money planning a wedding that probably won’t go ahead this year. If I cancel with jet2 and the flights don’t go ahead anyway can I claim our deposits back?0

No, if you cancel first you are entitled to no deposit back, no matter what then happens with the flights afterwards.0
