Not very O/S today cos feel really ill. :(

Finishing off a big clean i started last night at the mo. Managed the bathroom, living room and a quick tidy of the bedroom before burning myself badly on the slow cooker :o (dont ask!) had to bandage hand and submerge in cold water as it was soo bad - took 2 hours to stop "burning" feeling  So housework pretty much had to stop there.. continuing now as only just got the energy about 5pm to start after spending about an hour trying to do an online shop at Tesco. Still not sure im happy with it.

Hoovered through what didnt do yesterday, cleaned and "sorted" bedroom including changing the bed. Sorting bits in the dining room now before making some tea (used to eating this late due to working nights) then mopping the floor wiping down the cupboards/fridge etc. Think i'll leave the dishes as OH is home at midnight and gotta make his tea so will be loads to do then! Hes moaning i have nothing in... (when i have loads but hes a fussy eater! i.e. junk + fatty stuff) so hes asked for ... hot dogs on bread and butter with egg fried rice  :rotfl: I can understand why hes 21 stone after last few nights of making his meals!

No point arguing with him though cos otherwise he wont eat at all... just told him to think about what he likes and we'll add some of it to my shopping list when he gets in. Will stop the complaints and the people in work (we work together) thinkng i dont feed him and have nothing in my cupboards like he keeps telling them! :rotfl:

Ah well better get to it..

If he is 21 stone then I doubt that people will think that you do not feed him.

Have you thought of contacting Gillian McKeith from "You are what you eat?"

Oh No! and I was gonna ask Squeaky (or may I call you Squeaks...lol) to marry me!!

Well, the only OS thing's I've done since yesterday are ironing, buying a slow cooker (yet to try Squeaky's Chilli & Ginger chicken) and just ordered a BM!

My aim is to make my Dad a fresh loaf with my new BM and a neck of lamb stew in the slow cooker (altho I have NEVER made a stew in my life....help)! My Ma passed away a couple of years ago :( and he only ever enjoyed her food...so I've really got my work cut out

:rotfl: I think hed kill me. Weve only been together a few months so i cant take the blame! Its his mum and her 8 hob range thingy! (all his family are big)

i should point out hes also 6 foot 8 and built "like an outhouse door" he takes 19" collars and XXL tshirts just to fit across his shoulders!) so does carry the weight a bit better than the average person! ;) But hes still got a bit of a "hang over" belly on him and bigger boobs than me! :o

But once he moves in with me (or eats here more often  ) that will hopefully change and i'll be able to help him loose a bit of the weight. Although i love him the way he is.. just concerned about his high blood pressuren and arteries!!
  • People are posting late tonight, I thought I was the only Old Styler to read these daily threads after 8.30. Everyone seems to be in bed, ready to get up at 5.30 to start another day of Old Styling..............

    Morning all

having a late night/early morning trawl of the site,

have been shopping to Trafford centre and got some bargains
son needed football boots and saw a pair half price at £24.99 eally good make, I then saw the same pair lying on the floor tied together but with no tag, asked an assistant for the price and she said 'as there's no box they are downpriced' the tag must have come off but you can have them for £8'

at their side was a pair of astroturf trainers which he also needs, I usually pay around £12-£15 for these and he goes through 4 pairs a year,
she said 'those are the same you can have them for £4'
he was thrilled and so was I icon10.gif

daughter had lovely hooded cardigan from H&M for £12.99
    so she was pleased

oh and Man Utd (which is where hubby and son were whilst daughter and I were shopping) won 2-1 so everyone happy :j

off to bed soon, sending you all happy thoughts,
hope you all have a bright and cheerful Wednesday icon7.gif

:hello: 'morning Glad ... what a great day of bargains you had! Happy family all round by the sound of it.

I was unwell last night (tummy bug I think) and went to bed at 7.30. Now, I'm up bright and early. Tummy is still a bit sore but I'll see what I feel like when I try some food. At the moment I'm sipping a cup of green tea.

Today its work and then this evening more packing.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
