This to me seems a bit spammy, but ill give you the benefit of the doubt ;)

The best best is phoning T-Mobile and seeing what retention deals they offer him, as they seem to get more than new customers. He would have to discuss it with T-Mobile, but also see what the competitors offer him for new deals. Then he can weigh up his options.
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:
  • I sincerely do not know what you mean by spammy but either way, I'd like to thank you for not only giving me the benefit of the doubt but also for your response.

You might be better having a look here- http://www.howardforums.com/ as this is more usa based and could maybe offer more advice as to what would be a good deal as im sure usa deals are longer and work on rebate ;)
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi all,

I have been with T-Mobile since it was One2One in 1998 and have just gone through my contract renewal. My existing plan was only £12 a month (12 month contract) and the advisor during a long chat suggested a plan that sounded great for £18.50 a month. As I wasn't upgrading my phone I got a loyalty discount and with the new deal got 100 minutes to any mobile, unlimited landline calls, free internet and 100 text messages.
If I keep the plan I can't return to my old one and have 7 days to change my mind I was told.
Minutes after being on the phone, I checked 'My T-Mobile' and the total plan charges came to £21.27, not £18.50. I rang yesterday and was told the amount I was quoted was Ex VAT! An honest mistake or way or cheating me into staying?!
I was annoyed by this as unless I was a business, who would want to know the Ex VAT price of line rental...
I phoned up again today, had a bit of a rant (feeling a bit guilty as the girl might be losing her job) and was told the name of the bloke I spoke to and that he would get back to me when he can...
Has anyone else been offered a good deal only to find out you have VAT added on to it...?

Here's the specific deal as I understand it and as described by the loyalty bloke:

    Combi 15 + Web N Walk (18 months) £20.00
    Unlimited landline Talk Booster £7.50
    Loyaly Discount -£9.00

To me that's £18.50? Yet it is showing £21.27...??!

    In T-Mobile it shows:
    Combi 15 £17.02
    Web N Walk booster £4.25
    TOTAL exc VAT: £21.27

According to two advisors I have spoken to that is the VAT being added on...

Hi, my T mobile flext 35 contract is up next month but i would like to keep this as i get staff discount so it cost me 17.50. I would still like a better deal to include free usage of internet and email and a new phone, possibly the new blackberry ive heard alot of good things about this.

My only problem is im useless when trying to haggle for better deals ect and the last upgrade i had just took the new phone which wasnt great they offered me. i have been a customers of theres for 36 months.

Any tips for calling them up trying to get a good deal as alot of my mates have stated the companies will throw all sorts at you to try and keep your custom

many thanks your help would be greatly apprichated

If you get staff discount they normally won't give you anything else...

    Evening all

I am on T-mobile Flext 50, I am up for renewal now and pay £37.50 instead of £50 a month as there is a 25% discount applied. I pay £6.50 a month for webNwalk and have been told that if I renew contract will lose the 25% discount as the new flext 50 includes webnwalk. If I stick with existing handset (n95) they will give me a £10 discount which still means it will be £40 a month.

How do I get the best deal we have said we will perhaps leave as we have been with them 4 yrs now and always pay the bill on time each month by direct debit.

Not particulary bothered about a handset as currently my handset is fine so want to save as much as I can, I could go to a lower flext tarrif but this would not be enough allowance each month for me and I would go over.

I am the master of negotiating with Virgin Media to get the best deal but T-Mobile dont seem to care whether you leave or not.

Wanted to carry on with existing phone as there are no phones out that I like and am looking to get the Sony Ericson IDOU handset when that comes out at the beginning of next year.

    Any help appreciated.

I contribute a lot in the other forums and would really appreciate some help on this.

    Thankyou
    Richard.
