Hi all,
I am about to start my last month of my Tmobile 18 month Flext 25 + Web & Walk contract.
I will be ringing them tomorrow with the whole, cancel my contract and see what they offer me to stay kinda deal.

I currently already get a 25% discount off everything so my std bill is only £24.37 anyway instead of £32.50.
(This was automatic on taking out the contract and was discounted by T-mobile not a cashback)
I also have the t-mobile TV service as well so, all in all my bill is around the £30 per month mark.

I have done a search on these forums for t-mobile to see what others have been offered but with little success, there doesn't seem to be many of us.

Could some of you pass on what kind of deals you have negotiated with T-mobile.
I was hoping for some kind of deal on the Ameo, but would imagine it will still be very expensive.
I would quite happily continue on with my current pricing, with a good deal on the Ameo rather than a cheap contract.
What do you think my chances are.??
thanks....Dean

I'm afraid I cant help you, but I am in a similar position and so would love to know what success you have! Please come back after you have spoken to T-Mobile!

Ok, just had a good look round for a decent Deal on the Ameo and found the following.

    Flext 25 + W & W = £32.50 for 18 months
    Ameo £245

bearing in mind that even for a new customer with the same tariff on the t-mobile website the phone would be £429.99p

the company advertising this deal is ukphoneshop.com
The only thing i can see that is different is that their offer does not include co-pilot, which i personally don't like anyway, I prefer TomTom.

Has anyone had any experience of UKphoneshop, its not a cashback deal so the whole will they still be trading in 6 months time doesn't bother me, just want to receive my phone once i've paid for it.

I will be using this info as a bargaining tool though with t-mobile retentions first.
See what we can get.

Fingers crossed they can beat it.

  • Hi Dean,

I took out my latest T Mobile contract with them on an N95 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommnd them. I had a couple of questions about things before I signed up and they were really helpful over the phone, not your standard reading from a script, they had some real knowledge. Hope this helps.

    Morning all,

Just checked my upgrade status online as today is upgrade day...yay..
    Get this what a bargain..
    Upgrade to an AMEO -
    £439.99 without co-pilot
    £539.99 with co-pilot

Start a new contract on the same as I am now -
    £429.99 with co-pilot

Kinda doesn't add up to me, £110 more to upgrade than a new customer, now thats what i call brand loyalty at work..!

going to ring them today and cancel and see what they offer...

other alternative was £10 discount on line rental, one question though is this £10 off my current tariff which i get 25% off anyway or £10 off the full price ?

Its gonna be a good day for someone.. and that won't be them.

  • I'm coming to the end of my 18 month contract with T-mobile. I'm on 25% discount on the Flext35 which is £26 a month. I phoned up wanting to keep this tariff but have the web & walk added on and a free N95.

The first chap I spoke to tried to tell me how how rubbish the N95 was and tried to send me back to look at the cheaper phones on their site. I explained that that was the phone I wanted, that it wasn't rubbish, he said I could have it for two hundred and something quid..i said...'Good bye'!

Phoned again and the woman on the line quizzed me on why I wanted that phone, what did I use my phone for etc I said can I just hear what you can offer it me for as my mind is made up on the phone. I explained the great deals on 3 and O2 which I was considering and she went off and tapped on her computer saying she can do me a great deal of flext35 with w&w and the Nokia N95 at £20 all for £42.50 a month. Some deal...this is the standard price for new customers. I bid her farewell and came to the conclusion that T Mobile aren't slightly interested in existing cutomers and I was best going elsewhere.

I did send a final email expressing my dissapointment and have now been offered my existing tariff with w & w added for £33 a month...no mention of free phone yet, if they offer it I'll take it.

    £180 month talk & text
    unlimited web browsing

    £33.00 a month

T Mobile are hard work, I've never had a problem with the service and have been pleased with them over the last 18 months, but their loyalty is far from good. I really can't be bothered phoning up every day and haggling like a moroccan market trader so if I dont get an email back offering me the phone for free then it's off to O2 for me!

Good luck everyone else who tried, the words 'blood' and 'stone' spring to mind!!

looks like i'm going to be banging my head as well then.
going to call them this morning anyway and see, will post what they offer.

think i am going to go to '3' found a good deal which will suit me.

100mins, 1000 texts, and unlimited internet for £25pm and a free LG phone (yeah i know, crappy phone but i have an unlocked Nokia E61 anyway)
    plus a Free nintendo Wii..

sounds good to me, T-mobile are going to have to offer me the world to keep me now.

    Guess What ??

I was right, very poor offer from T-mobile Customer retentions (CR)

CR - anything we can do to keep you ?

told them i wanted a mobile with a qwerty keyboard and asked about the AMEO.

CR - have you seen one of those ? they aren't really a phone etc...

anyway, yes we can do you one for £339.99p

Me - Don't think so, i can get it cheaper online from another retailer.

CR -So what can we do to keep you ?

explained about the other offers I had seen online, she then offered me a Vario which was the only other 3G phone with a qwerty keyboard she could offer for £149.

I can get one of those on my same tariff for £79 as a new customer.

They must think we were born yesterday.

anyway to cut a long story short, I have given them my notice.
    asked about a PAC code...
CR - you can have that today for £27 or wait until 27th of next month (once contract ends) and you can have it for free.

Me - I'll leave it then and call back maybe.

So I'm off to '3' and my free 'Wii'.
their loss, I can't beleive they didn't offer more to keep me, no mention of line rental cuts even though i said i was going to keep my current handset to use with '3' rather than the crappy one they are offering, this still didn't prompt her.
Never mind, i'm happy, thats all that counts....
    thanks everyone...Dean

just noticed when going to order, the '3' deal is through buymobilephones.net so you can get £30 cash back as well through quidco.
    Nice....

My 18mths was up with them today. Gave them a call - bearing in mind my monthly bill is £150 on flext 35 due to the amount of international calls I make - and basically they could reduce it the £20 - absolute rubbish!! off to hunt a better deal and someone that wants my money lol
