My 18mths was up with them today. Gave them a call - bearing in mind my monthly bill is £150 on flext 35 due to the amount of international calls I make - and basically they could reduce it the £20 - absolute rubbish!! off to hunt a better deal and someone that wants my money lol

Damn right, i think T-mobile are going to regret doing this to loyal customers.

just for info, the new deal i took up yesterday, will be delivered tomorrow..
    Speedy... Cool

I may be being dim here, but how is reducing it from £150 a month to £20 a month rubbish?
  • Quick update....had an email from T-mobile saying they would honour my 25% discount which I had when my last contract began which was great. But then the big question came up again about the Nokia N95 and she couldn't do it for less than £200 unless I waved goodbye to my discount or go onto a new customer deal!

I told them to forget it. She told me she was terrible sorry to lose such a valued customer...I said 'Obviously not that sorry'

So it's bye bye T-Mobile and now I have to start trawling through all the other offers again.

Do you think there will be other deals available at the start of September, is it worth me hanging on until the weekend??

It's a bit of a mixed bag. I've always managed to get good deals out of them but then I am a business customer with three lines. Suffice to say the deal I have with them now means I will (probably) never renew contract because will be cheaper to buy a sim-free phone off eBay than to renew and lose the discount (which is what they do; I tried to renew and get free weekend/evening calls but they said it's that or the discount, not both). They did give me an N95 for £120 instead of £230 though.

Im on flext 35 but 25% discount what do you think the best discount i could get would be if i dont take a phone ?
  • Possibly a further £10 line reduction a month. I wanted the free evening and weekend calls but to do this had to surrender my 25% discount.

Getting £10/month on an 18 month contract (based on a non-personalised printed leaflet I got, activated by text) or £15/month for the first 12 months of the 18 month contract when you negotiate over the phone seems to be quite standard.

So £10 a month on the phone should be possible but be sure to ask for this as a recurring forever discount (or at least until you renew next time). As richardjames73 said they won't give you a discount AND the free calls. BUT remember the current Flext packages are poor (min. 1 minute, charge for voicemail, etc.) and they will force you to move onto the current deal if you want the free calls.

Nope. They gave me the free calls and left me on the old deal (voicemail comes out flext and not charged seperately etc). They said as i was staying on flext35 they would just add the promotion and no other terms would change (Apart from me losing the 25% go direct discount).
