yes i know it is, the thing is i have 2 contracts with them on F&F, i have flext 35, and i got the cheapest flext for my little brother, the contract he uses was due for upgrade just a couple of months ago, and i got him his new phone for free, just a few months later, they are telling me its all changed now.
when did you upgrade.
also, i havent been using it as much lately, so they are trying to say its because of that aswell.0 -
T-mobile use a system called CLC (Customer Lifetime Contribution) to determine who gets what spend on upgrades, T0 customers being high value (usually use the phone alot and generate alot of revenue) recieve alot towards handsets/discounts, S0 being middle customers (use the handset a fair amount and generate a decent amount of revenue) recieve a fair amount towards handsets/discounts, PI being the bottom class (Rarely make calls, Generate next to nothing for the company) recieve basicly nothing.
Supposed to be Internal information, May as well spread the joy0 -
Due my upgrade tomorrow, 3/2/09. With TMobile, for 3 years, paying minimum £35 per month and im looking to upgrade to the 8800 arte carbon( i currently have the 8600 luna) anyone know what sort of figures T-Mobile are putting about?0
-
The carbon Arte will be worth over £500 - £600, your looking to pay about £200 minimum for the phone0

just added up and in three years ive spent £2500 on my contract with tombile- does the tmobile guy think i should do ok with the 8800 carbon? or do others think i should cancel then go for an LCD TV or PS3 or Xbox or something on-line?0

Question for the T-Mobile employees:
My husband has been with T-mobile for years and has three lines in his name. Generally the bill comes to £120-£130 per month (mostly caused by me calling numbers outside of allowance and using the internet).
All three are Flext 35, one line has the Blackberry instant email added to it. We once went into a T-Mobile shop and he was told he is a "high value customer".
The line that is due for upgrade next has a £5 discount on it which we got last time we upgraded. When we upgrade will any discount be on top of that or will that discount expire?
How much discount should we aim for next time?2022 wins: PS5 bundle, SSD drive, luxury truffles
Debt free and intending on staying that way!0 -
@sarah: As a high value customer without a handset they may offer a £15 MRc discount, or approx £300 off a new handset0

I am at the mo still on my loyalty discount of 6 months which t-mob said was £9 (I have the text the rententions woman sent me the same day, which was in november 08) then a week later they all of a sudden changed it to £6 off, hmmm not happy! I have delayed upgrading because of everyone saying bad deals, no free phones etc.
I'm on the free time 750+ about £12 a month, I have been with them since the one 2 one days and changed tariff once, can't remember why now! Anyway at the mo I would be deemed a customer that doesn't make them any money but o all the other years I have paid bills from £30-70 a month, Now I rarely use my allowance but that could change again. I'm just wondering what they're going to offer if anything, online upgrade I can get a free phone or £5 off line rental. I was hoping for more free texts as I text mainly at the mo.
Just not sure what to do for the best, I guess I'm paying less than the majority do and should count myself lucky lol:rotfl:But having been with them for 14 years I'd like something back! and once every 18 months is not too much to ask, well in my opinion anyway.
Is there anyone out there who has my tarrif or been with them as long, if so a bit of advice would be greatful.
Thanks guys :T0 -

Hey Janna,
Im in the same situation as you! Im also on the freetime 750 price plan...was being charged £13.99 a month and had an upgrade option in November 2008 aswell. The offers wernt nothing special at the time and I ended up getting the £10 a month discount for 6 months (this was initially £9 but another rep actually increased it to £10). I've been on the price plan since 2003 and they have always given me a decent upgrade deal until now. Im gonna keep the contract until the discount expires (May 2009) and then will consider moving to o2 or another provider if they cant give me any good reason to stay.0 -

Overall, not particularly impressed but I realise the offer of an early upgrade doesn't give you the any real leverage to negotiate a better deal. The advisor I was speaking to told me that on a 15 month early upgrade they had available £150 to offset against a handset and would not match new customer offers, however if I ring back during the last month of my contract they have the full entitlement available to me of £330 or £350 (can't quite remember). Taking the early upgrade makes no real sense.
I was offered the choice to forgo the handset and take a £15 a month discount on rental. This has been applied in the interim two months until I call back to upgrade.
This is on a Flext 35 contract, with WnW, International Call Plan and about £20-£30 a month on international calls per month. I am apparently a high value customer, which surprised me, but that's why I will be eligible for the full entitlement, so your offers may vary according to your own usage.
If any T-Mobile staff have any comments whether I've been fobbed off or infact what I've been told is correct, I'd appreciate the input. I assume the delaying until April is with the start of the financial year, the budgets for handsets are replenished?0
