A lot of people use G1 for work.... and its better now you can have outlook calendar and contacts on the phone. I guess if you want to type word documents or something but there is even a notepad for it.

yea but its also totally insecure, when doing that via exchange

Email via exchange on the go is a must for any work phone we roll out \ use \ support

Did you consider the Blackberry Bold at all? Looked pretty decent as well.

Blackberrys are OK, but I prefer the windows mobile phones in terms of overall usefull never for work

Do t-mobile loyalty discounts automatically expire with the end of the contract date and therefore should the bill before my contract-period ending show a pro-rata'd discount? (bill and contract renewal dates are not the same for me as I've never renewed on the day the contract expires but after a week or two)

Just want to know what to expect next week - before I phone them up. Help appreciated!

Yes they do end. We had a combined £20 discount (on two contracts) - the last bill was pro-rata for the in contract/out of contract section and the new bill (out of contract) will be the full £55 - yikes, time to switch methinks.

Spoke to retentions, pathetic offer: Keep your phones and get £5 off each (total £45 a month) or get new phones and pay the full rental! Pathetic.

Well I've just received my bill and they've applied the loyalty in full - not pro-rata from the bill date to the end of the contract date (unless I'm mistaken you pay up-front for each month's line rental, right?); however on my-T-mobile there is no loyalty discount showing when I look at the details, whereas I'm pretty sure it used to.

Not sure what to make of this... is the loyalty discount still on there or has it dropped off. If the latter, I'm better off moving to Solo.

    EDIT: that's what I've done.

    Hi Jessica

The 19th of January, when the renewal deals were supposed to re-appear, has passed but I'm not seeing any posts from satisfied customers. Can you update us on what the score is at the moment? Thanks.

well after an appalling renewal offer iv decided to leave t mobile, its my first time actually considering renewing a contract but the offers available to me were worse than new customer offers, it seems t mobile really dont care about loyalty.

The offers I received after 19th Jan were the same as before 19th Jan, it made no difference.

I wouldnt blame people for leaving, there are better offers out there, especially through third party sites like phones4u etc, with cashback. I only stayed because I'd fail a credit check elsewhere and managed to get something half decent, otherwise I would have been off to Voda or O2.

  • Hi :hello:

Just wanted to add my pennies worth. My contract with T mobile ends next month. Browsed through this thread and Martin's article and prepared myself to haggle to get a good new deal. Was very disappointed.

The girl I first spoke to was very uninterested, didn't offer me anything and not bothered at all. I later phoned back to definately cancel and get PAC code. This time was marginally better and the guy I spoke to at least tried to match a deal I had found but was still disappointing. I have had contracts with both 3 and o2 before and they were much better (although 3 are still my number one culprits for worst customer service ever...long story!)

So have a new contract with Vodafone, £20/month cheaper, the new phone that I wanted and £90 cashback!

Thanks to all for all tips and advice posted
