Had a call yesterday offering me 300 mins, 5000 txts, 250mb downloads for £7.5 pm on 12 mth contract. Can get pretty much the same from virgin on a rolling 30 day contract.

Edit: am I going mad, can't find the £7 30 day rolling deal on virgin anymore.
    Found it.

Got a further call from tm and even though the tariffs in question have been reduced by £2.50 pm, rentions havent lowered the price they are offering to me, basically they are offering a £5 loyalty discount off the old pricing not the slightly lower new ones. With that in mind (dragons den mode on) I'm out, three here I come.

Well I called today, didn't mention anything about a penalty charge so will just have to check bills.

Also when I asked for pac they just gave it me, no offers whatsoever!
although I am only on £10 sim only, so not worth anything to them.
now to wait for a killer deal on the s3!...

My bill came today (not used PAC yet).
It had the 'MNP Early Termination Penalty' of £12.57 added!

Called them, he said it would have been applied when i ported out to the new provider, and asked what date i ported out on! (I haven't yet, surely he should know if i had?!)

Eventually got the charge removed, tried getting a proper explanation as to why it was added even if i had used the PAC, but he was really struggling to string a sentence together TBH (non UK call centre)

Off to giff gaff temporarily in the next few days i think

Suppose it really does depend on who you speak to and how well you have conducted your account over the years. Even one late payment can impact on upgrade offers.

I just got a Galaxy S3 from T-Mobile for £19 on an £18 a month line rental package. I was also about 5 months over my upgrade date which might have made a difference as well.

600 minutes, 500 text (unlimited if I want to use the included booster for text) 1.5GB data and free access to BT Openzone (3GB limit I think). Current booster is 60 minutes international calls.

That is really good. They offered me 900 mins, 500 texts, 750mb internet and free S3 for £41 on an 18 month contract. She also agree to do the LTE version at that price but I don't even know if I want it or not. The standby time is half what the S3 is and if they're going to charge for EE 4G thingy then I wont want that anyway.

It looks like a good deal to me. You don't have to move onto an EE LTE contract if you don't want to so the battery life will be identical to the 3G version if you don't as the LTE won't be in use.

A 4G Galaxy S3 is likely to have a better resale value than a 3G one and by the time the contract is up in 18 months time the other networks are likely to have 4G which means you will have a bigger market to sell the phone to.

Thanks for the reply. you think £41 a month is good? Also, any ideas on the Note 2?

So I rejected the offer and got my PAC, ten minutes later I got another call from someone else. Best package he can offer is staying on Flex 35 for 18 months with a £19 charge for the S3 LTE or the Note 2 LTE...choices choices..

Got to the end of my 24 month contract and was offered a £6 discount per month if I renew.

300 min, 300 text and unlimited internet for about £8 per month.

    I'm happy :-)

I have been offered 600 min, 500 text and unlimited internet for £5.87 per month last week (12 month, SIM only contract)
  • My contract is up on 8th Nov. I pay £5.47 a month for 100 mins/100 texts/unlimited internet/free landline calls. It is cheap because I have a £5 loyalty discount on my account. This tariff is perfect for me.

I want a Samsung Galaxy S2. When I log into the t-mobile website I get the upgrade option and it says I can keep my current tariff and get the S2 for £210, this seemed like a good deal but I decided to ring retentions just in case. However retentions tell me that the website isnt true as I would keep my existing terms but would lose my loyalty discount so would end up paying £10.47 a month plus the £210 for the phone, this isnt a very good deal at all. Are they correct?
They say my current deal is special because it was a sim-only deal and thats why I got the £5 discount. If i want an S2 the retentions offer is for a new contract on 100/100/unlimited internet for £10.50 a month plus £129 for the phone which is slightly better. Alternatively I could renew my existing deal on a sim-only basis and source a S2 from elsewhere. Decisions decisions......
  • I just renewed one of my lines which was sim only 300 mins, 300 text and unltd Internet for £4.58 a month.
This was through loyalty and they put me through to websale who discounted a bit more
