one of my Tmobile line's up for renewal right now pay £7.5 a month for 100/100 min/texts plus unlim landline calls and 3GB FUP internet.

I was not offered anything other than what found on website. Asked for PAC and issued one rightaway. I want to wait until this weekend to see if tmob tries to pursuade to me stay. otherwise i will get a cashback deal on tmobile through BMP.

Last month I had 2 lines up for renewal...

    They offered:

    100 Mins / 100 Text / UNL Booster (Took landline calls) / 500MB *PLUS* a free HTC Wildfire S

Had this on both lines... sold handsets on eBay for over £100 each so that more than paid for the line rental, all be it £20 .. 24 months contract.

Then last week, a 3rd line was up for renewal..

Got 300 Mins/5000 text/UNL booster (Took landline calls)/250MB *PLUS a free HTD Wildfire, this time for £6.50 .. still a bargain. 24 month contract. This deal was a SIM only I had literally for a couple of weeks and phoned up to cancel it..

I wasn't a big spender as my previous deals that came to an end were £5 retention deals!! :-)

Depends who you get on the phone I guess.

if I'm offered the £6.5 a month deal i will snap it up rightaway as it exactly suit my needs. I would rather not ask for a phone and will be happy to sign up for a 12 month simonly deal.

I will definitely try them tomorrow as a last ditch of attempt.
many thanks for sharing, its really been helpful and know what to target for.

    Hi,

Just want to know whether what I was told by T-Mobile retentions is true: that if I take my PAC code, I lose any customer loyalty bonus. I just wanted my PAC code as I'm up for renewal and am still not sure whether or not to leave T-Mobile but I would like my PAC code.

    Ta!

When I called to give my month's notice I was told that they would have to generate a PAC there and then, as the notice period starts from when you receive the PAC. No mention was made of any loyalty bonus and they have never attempted to contact me to offer me any deals or persuade me not to leave.

    Hi Kayaitch,

Thanks for your answer. I think I'm in a slightly different position as I have the contract through a third party cashback scheme? I really don't know about all this but I felt I was being pressurized by the third party firstly and then by T-Mobile saying about the PAC code, although it may be true. Nobody has ever told me about 30 days notice including the third party firm who did phone me up to say my contract was about to expire and tried to offer me another 12 month contract for the same benefits at £3 more than I'm paying now which is why I phoned T-Mobile.

Does anyone know what the situation is regarding the PAC code and the customer loyalty bonus? Is it lost when you get the PAC code and does it make any difference to the deals offered if you do lose the customer loyalty bonus?

I don't know for sure but I don't think the loyalty bonus will be lost. I mean, what if you were not to use the PAC code in the 30 day period. What will happen then. A couple of months ago I requested my PAC from T-Mobile but didn't use it in the 30 day period. They have continued to bill me as I am still in contract with them. However I don't have a loyalty discount.
  • Hey, I was just wondering if you went through upgrades or retentions?

    Went via retentions.

    Sorry for the late answer.

Hi, I have 2 lines with T-Mobile, 1 of which ends soon. The website states " you can renew your plan on 7th may 2012". Does this mean I can phone them from that date or can I do it now?
