I got my HTC desire from t-mobile 2 years ago and have just looked on Myt-mobile to see what they were offering if I renewed my contract.
Wasn't bothered about a new phone so was hoping for a discount off my monthly payment. Wasn't expecting much as I'm a low user and only pay £10.21 pm. However, there are other £7 pm sim only deals out there with quidco so was hoping for something similar from t-mobile otherwise I might sign up with someone else.
Their upgrade deal was £6 per month off a £10.21 monthly contract. I couldn't believe it! It took about 2 mins to do on the website and I didn't even have to phone and haggle with them
I now get 100 mins 100 texts and unlimited data and landline calls for £4.21 per month, which is plenty for me0 -
I keep seeing people mention this unlimited data. Is it truly unlimited or does it have a fair use policy like before?0

Reclusive I'm not sure about the data. It was the standard offering at the time (April 2010) but I think there might have been either a 1 Gb or 3 Gb fair usage policy, but the only time I have been anywhere near even 1 Gb level is when I used my phone as a router in the house for a couple of weeks due to the death of my sky router.
(I'm not bothered about huge data allowances and I think that people who persistently exceed generous IMHO usage allowances and then whinge about it should get a life and do something more interesting than whatever it is that uses all that data)
Hardhardyear If you log into your online t-mobile account it tells you the date you can renew your plan. Once that date has passed it gives you a link to offers. Clicking that link goes to a page where you can choose a new phone, new tariff (if you need more or less minutes/texts/whatever) or get a discount on your current plan, which is the one I chose.0 -
