Do you have to be on a reasonably high monthly line rental for you to get deals like the ones mentioned in the past few pages?

No. I was offered the S2 for £20 upfront and £25 a month back in October. My tariff at the time was £25 month and the same as yours.

My current HTC Desire is up for renewal and I had pretty much decided to leave T-Mobile and requested my PAC. Just been offered the following deal by Head Office which seemed pretty good to me:

    iPhone 4s 32gb
    900 mins
    500 texts
    Unlimited landline calls
    Unlimited data (well, 500mb FUP)
    £35.85 a month
    24-month contract

I was a bit disappointed to have to agree to a 2-year contract but it was a significantly better deal than the 18-month options. I might well trade it in when the 5 is released and get a SIM-free version to upgrade.

As I still have time to opt-out, any thoughts? Seem like a good deal?
    Personal ISA Contributions Challenge - current £0 (as at 1 April 2014) / target £15,000 (deadline 31 Mar 2015)

How much for the hanset? If you paid £0, then that's a fantastic deal as i want the 32gb iphone 4s, but i have to pay £200 for the phone and £36 a month on a 24 month contract.

I am deffo leaving Orange next week. They said they do discount on all phones except the iphone 4S. I don't really want the S2 so i have no idea what i am going to do!

  • Hello, I'm just wondering whether anyone has managed to haggle and get a better deal than standard website deals for that of either the iPhone 4 or 4S. My friend who was on £20 per month managed to get iPhone 4, 16GB for £25 per month, 100 mins, 24 month contratc paying £80 which I feel is a relatively ok deal. I would ideally like to get a 4 or 4S for the same. I know that from buy mobiles, it's £99.99 for the handset for £30.64 per month but I am looking to pay £25 max. Any thouhgts....

    Thanks
  • Have just requested my PAC Code as their upgrade offers are terrible.

Am I likely to get called by Retentions?
I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.
  • How long do retentions usually take to ring (if they are going to)?

I'd love to know this too, I need to ring up about my upgrade.
  • Just had my call from retentions.... Now have a new Samsung Galaxy S2 winging its way to me.

I've kept the same 18 month contract, 300 mins, 300 texts (with free unlimited texts booster), Original 3GB of data, £25 per month.

One off cost of £30 for phone... but I'm happy with that.

Ring up (on 150) and get your PAC Code now. They'll ring you either today or tomorrow.

I've finally got round to making the call, just need to wait now and hope they call back soon!
