Depends on what you might get from ebay for the motorola.
I would try to get them to knock it down to 18 month deal with a free phone.

Hmm just looked on ebay - might get over £200 for the motorola - which still means you have to fork out £15x24 = £360 (sell the phone and get a new phone to replace it yourself). Not worth it if you want a high end phone.

I just don't think there is a handset out there at the moment that suits me. I possibly like the look of the iphone 3gs. Do you think its still worth buying an iphone 3gs, as I am a bit put off by the antenna issue with the 4, which was reported. I have looked and I would ideally like the iphone 3gs in white, this is available on T-mobile for £450, suppose when you compare to how much the iphone 4 is its hardly worth buying the 3gs?!?
  • in June the Iphone5 will be out. and your phone will be 2 versions behind

You could ask t-mobile if you could stay on 30 day rolling contract with view to getting the iphone 5 when it comes out. You will have to part with more than £15 a month for that - probably £35. Won't get any discounts I think.

I've been offered 300 min, unlimited texts, 3gb internet with an iphone 4.

£30 p/m for 18 months with £190 for the phone.

Still undecided but over 18m it's barely more than the Tesco deal and I get more, so I think I'm going to take it.
  • are t mobile still offering flext contracts?
i have only been with them 18 months on flext40 and am due for renewal next month]wanted to stay with flext but was under the impression it had ended

They are for existing customers only.
  • My other half managed to get the following deal on Saturday.

    300 Minutes
    Unlimited Texts
    Unlimited Internet (3GB)
    Free Motorola Defy

    £17 on 18 month contract
    £12 on 24 month contract

She took them up on the £12 per month deal, and although offered over the phone, we popped into our local t-mobile store and they was able to match the deal there :)
