You can upgrade through O2 and keep on a 12mth contract if your already on one, but there isn't much in the way of choices of phones - Nokia 6300, Sony Ericsson C702, LG Viewty and a couple of Samsungs spring to mind.0

So you don't get £15 loyalty of iphone tariffs then? And no discount on the phone itself?
The phone selection at the moment is shocking0 -
I'm shocked - I certainly won't be paying £75 for my mobile even if the X1 Xperia is free.

I rang and asked for my PAC code yesterday and have just had a call from the win-back team. He offered:
200 mins +unlimited o2 calls
400 texts
18 month contract
Sony Ericcson C902
...for£10 / month.
I mentioned that I had the unlimited web bolt-on at the moment and he went to see if he could include that as well, but he said the system wouldn't let him add it.
I would probably have accepted anyway except that my 12 month cashback contract from E2Save doesn't end until next month and if I change the tariff now I won't get my final £108 cheque. He said if I accepted it would take effect within 24 hours and they couldn't make it change over after the 12 months. Is that correct? And is it true that I can't ring them again later and take the offer?0 -
I rang retentions asked for my PAC code yesterday and i have received it by text today. I am after the same offer a Bogden and others:
200 mins +unlimited o2 calls
400 texts
18 month contract for £10 / month.
I have rang retentions many times but never have any look. Keep on get offered the offer above but £20 a month even tho I was on £15 a month. Now on simplicity at £10 a month. Just wait for the win-back team to call me but knowing my luck they won't.0 -
After thinking I had messed it up by asking for a Pac three weeks ago, and my contract running out on Sunday, O2 have offered me the best deal so far. I know others have been offered the same deal previously.
18m contract with unlimited data, 600min, 500txt and a free XDA Ignito for £20 per month. I have a final cashback to claim on my existing contract and need the statement which is being produced on Sunday for this. O2 have asked me to call back on Monday to set up the new deal with the current offer being valid for 7 days.0 -
I'm also after the C902 deal. Phoned them today threatening to cancel, but they offered the same contract but with the ancient Nokia 6300. Needless to say I knocked it back, hope they phone me back soon!0

I know there are people out there waiting for the Sony Ericsson C905, so I thought I'd share my experiences when I called o2 just now.
Spoke to a very lovely lady - nice and polite throughout which is always a plus in my book.
Explained that I'm at the end of an 18month contract with 600mins & 1000 texts for £35pm, and was looking for a new contract but had seen lots of other good deals around. She asked if my usage was likely to change, I said I was a texter so unlimited texts would be good, but I still wanted the minutes. She then asked if I had a preference as to handset. Was quite honest with her here, said I ideally wanted something along the lines of the Nokia 96 or Samsung i8510, neither of which o2 stock, but carphone warehouse etc have on my tariff for free; said apart from that my preference of handset was definitely Sony Ericsson. She agreed that they don't have those handsets, asked if I'd looked at any SE's, so I mentioned the c905. She said it was due for release in the next week, but couldn't offer me any deals on it yet.
Went on to offer me the c902 free with 600mins and unlimited texts for £25pm. I asked whether she'd be able to give me a rough idea of deals available on the c905 and she said she couldn't, but she thought the handset would be chargeable. I pointed out that it was free on the £35pm tariff at carphone warehouse, and she said there might be something they could do where the phone was chargeable but they did a discount on the tariff, but I'd need to phone back next week.
Asked if I could think about the offer and call back next week, she said that's fine & offered to put me on the simplicity 30day rolling tariff thing with 600mins & unlimited texts for £20pm. Said I'd have a think about that and call her back - off to carphone warehouse while I'm in town I think, to have a play with some of their phones and decide which handset I really want!0 -
I'm shocked - I certainly won't be paying £75 for my mobile even if the X1 Xperia is free.

"O2 looks set to be the only operator to sell the Xperia for the time being"
Rubbish, Vodafone list it already; makes me wonder how much of the rest can be believed?
