The best deal I've found so far is £29.99 on a £45 a month tariff. Like the iphone I don't think there will be any discounts with the Xperia, I'll be ringing o2 back in 3 weeks.

Might be worth calling o2 tomorrow, i have just been chatting on their online help with Orange and they now have the C905 in stock.

I was offered their Dolphin 30 plan, normally £30PM for £25PM, 400 mins and unlimited text and the phone for £79.99.

I found on mobiles.co.uk the same offer above but for £30PM and the phone for free.

Hopefully 02 will do something otherwise i can see alot of people taking advantage of that deal.

I rang retentions twice today, they told me to call after 4, I did but stil not on their system for the 905, but he said they could text me. When I asked 6 weeks ago to let me know when it came out they said they couldn't do it.
  • Has anybody managed to get a good retentions deal for the SE C905 yet?

They aren't offering any retention deals with this phone yet as they aren't available to existing customers yet, only new ones. They are supposed to be texting me when it is available, but i have just given my 30 day notice so unless they can offer me anything decent (not holding me breath) i'll be moving to Orange in a few weeks time to get this phone, on a £25PM contract with 400 mins and unlimited texts, and the phone for free woohoo.
  • I've just tried to upgrade to the C905 on O2.

I asked for a deal on the C905. I told them I had found it for £40 a month on Vodafone with 600 minutes, unlimited texts & data browsing.

    I got offered a super!!! deal for the C905, £75 a month with 3000 minutes & 1000 texts.

The guy didn't seem to grasp that this was poor compared to Vodafone especially when I considered the £90 I could get via quidco.

So instead he offered me the Nokia 6220 or the C902 for £20 for 600 minutes 1000 texts and unlimited browsing. I pointed out these weren't the phone I was interested in. He just kept telling me how good the Nokia6220 was and how lucky I was to be getting it for free. Very patronising.

I told him to call me back when he could actually do me a deal worth while. What a waste of 15 minutes of my life.

This above post doesn't fill me with confidence then :( I've found a deal on Vodafone (through Phones4u) for the C905 for free, 150mins/500txts for £30 a month, 12mth contract & £50 cashback through Quidco. I'll be off to this if O2 can't give me a good deal on the C905.

Im after a Samsung, either the Omnia or i8510. Neither of which are available direct through o2 website but both available via other suppliers...on o2??? Any idea why? Also, with my contract up a couple of weeks ago, what chance of getting a deal for either via retentions?
