One of the aformentioned sites offering the phone I want is CharityMobiles .co .uk and they are offering the i8510 for free plus a choice of deals, the cheapest of which is £1.99 for the first 5months and then £30 per month.

Anyone heard of them, and is there a catch?!

I wanted the C905 too but after seeing it in the O2 shop I don't any more. I'm not sure if it's just because it's a display dummy version but it seemed very flimsy and I didn't like the slidey keypad at all.

I want to upgrade from my K800i but there just doesn't seem to be anything that great out there at the moment.

Like osps, e2save etc they are part of cpw.

Read the various threads here (and across the net) on problems with cpw and its various trading names.

For starters try the e2save problems thread.

Already read through some of that after posting. Thanks for the heads-up :o

Do you reckon there's any chance o2 will do one of the phones I mentioned if I threaten to leave?

Just tried to get an upgrade price on the C905 - told it still isn't on the system for upgrades. I'm getting fed up of waiting! I think I might phone retentions tonight and be done with it...

Just found out the i8510 is only web-connectable via WiFi so dont want that one after all, the Tocca looks good but have not heard good things. Have they corrected the initial issues? For the price difference (neglegable) is it just worth getting an iPhone?

The Xperia X1 is now available on Vodafone, FREE phone £40 for 900xnet mins, unlimited texts and unlimited 500MB web browsing + £90 Quidco makes it a pretty good deal. I'm not hanging around anymore to see what o2 can offer, I know they can't get close to that deal.

Emailed o2 last night and informed them I wanted to leave, as Vodaphone are doing the Omnia for free, 12month contract with 200 xnet mins and 500 texts (enough for my use!) for £35 per month plus can get £150 back through Quidco. We shall see what they reply with, or if they've lost a customer?!
