Just rang them yet again, asking for the C950, it's not out yet, I asked why I was told by 2 seperate people yesterday that it was but not yet on the system. I was just told that it was the 27th.
It's annoying, as even when it does come out I know i'll be in for a battle to get it free on a £30 a month 12 month contract, which is what I want.0 -
If not I'll be off to Voda0

Today, while ringing for C905 release date, was offered C902 free on £45 a month tariff with £15 loyalty discount, or C902 £99.99 on £35 a month tariff with £15 loyalty discount. Blimey!!!
Not looking good for the C905 when you consider thats free on the £35 tariff through Carphone Warehouse.

I just phoned to cancel and was offered 400 minutes and 1000 texts for £20 a month, with a Samsung phone, can't remember the model. I told them Vodafone were offering a great deal with a free Wii (which they are!)
Is it worth trying to push it by phoning back and saying Vodafone have matched the offer? I'm not too fussed about the Wii as my mum got one free with her new contract, but i'd like to see if they offer me a bigger discount.
Has anyone done this? I'm worried they will call my bluff and cancel my contract! lolUndefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

Seems like if you aren't going to go for the iphone you'll be offered a pretty poor deal. I've spent just under £500 during the past 12 months and have a 2nd 18 month contract with o2 and all I was offered was the simplicity deal for £20. I'm waiting for the Blackberry Storm to be released on Vodafone, some serious competition against the iphone - at last!0

Is it cost your looking to reduce or do you just simply want to get a new handset that may be chargeable to a new customer? Be realistic because they are not just there to give away phones for the fun of it, they want to give the customer the best deal but can’t let o2 lose money at the same time, this is why there is a budget in place.
It’s very hard to say how it much you get off, as it is specific to your contract. Yes deals look generic and people get the same as others but only because they may spend the same each month, pay their bills on time etc.
You need to remember they are only allowed to offer loyalty within reason usually within a budget so it’s no good ringing them up and saying right im off unless you do my deal for £10mth with a N95 8gb etc.
They are there to help and will give you a great deal based on your usage or future anticipated usage. i.e. it would be a bit silly offering someone 1000mins if they only use 137 per month just because their mate had that deal. the deal offered will be basic on your personal contract, this is why deals varies from person to person.
you will get a better deal than what you has been on and it will be very competitive usually to reward you for your loyalty. They are not stupid
and do realise that the deal you may have been on last year could be a lot better this year following market trends etc.
Also remember additional services like free unlimited bolt ons on certain plans, O2 treats (additional free allowances by dialling 2211) cheaper broadband and priority tickets to the O2 stadium to boost your loyalty rewards.
Hope this helps x0 -
This may have been asked before- but is there any chance of getting a 12 month contract with a new mid range phone:)? It's just that I've been with O2 for eight years and don't really want to forced into an 18 month contract.
If you're on a 12 month contract now and upgrade through P4U then you don't have to change your tariff and can do a handset only upgrade but you're obviously not going to get a retention deal on that so you'd have to decide whats more important, a good deal on 18 month or your normal deal on a 12 month.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
You can upgrade through O2 and keep on a 12mth contract if your already on one, but there isn't much in the way of choices of phones - Nokia 6300, Sony Ericsson C702, LG Viewty and a couple of Samsungs spring to mind.0
