Just had the call back from the cancellations department as I requested my PAC code. Not an amazing deal but then I don't think they make too much money from me.
£20 a month
600mins/1000 texts
18mth
free web bolt on
Free SE 890i
Bascially the simplicity deal at the moment with a free phone, i'm happy anyway0 -
chattycathyuk,
Do you happen to know if O2 are going to get the HTC Touch HD or Pro in soon?
Thanks very much for any info...
Yep think the HTC Touch Pro will be released as the XDA Crystal there is another due out just slightly later this may be the HD! Keep checking around mid November.0 -
I really am fed up. I've spent the last few days trying to sort out a new contract and having been getting no where with the customer service reps at o2.
I was on:
Free LG viewty
800 Minutes
500 Texts
£35/month
Now, they have put me on the simplicity contract.
600 minutes
100 texts
free unlimited weekend calls
£20/month
I want a deal like others have been getting but they are saying that they don't have any discounts available for me.
I want either a blackberry bold for £36/month like someone else had or a free phone with this simplicity deal and I don't mind an 18 month contract but they are just not budging. Im really tempted to just go for the vodafone simplicity deal which is basically the same as the o2 one at £20 a month too just because o2 are driving me round the bend.
Any ideas on what I can do?0 -
Hi Just wondering if anyone could help me. I'm an 02 pay onthly customer on a 12mth contract which expires next March, I also have 02 broadband at a reduced rate due to being a pay monthly customer. Having recently lost my job I'm finding the monthly contract payments are getting expensive and out of control, eg... this months phone bill £78.00, I'm on a £25pm tariff which included 75mins and 250 texts pm. I do understand that because the broadband deal was tied in to the phone contract I would probably have to pay the full monthly rate if I terminated my pay monthly contract, this would be fine. I have looked at the terms and o2 say I'd have to pay the basic monthly fee up to the end of my contract in order to cancel. Is there any other way of getting some help off them? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Many Thanks Martin0

I was offered (and accepted):
- 200 mins, 400 texts and unlimited O2 to O2 calls
- £10 per month (18 month contract)
- £150 credit instead of a new handset
and ...
also took 8 meg broadband for £2.50 per month (inc. free wireless router etc.) on a 12 month contract.
Thanks to all the posters here and, to be fair, O2. Very pleased with the deal I was offered.
2nd contract is up in a couple of weeks.
Llyllyll, that is a really awesome deal. Did you call O2 to see what they could offer you as you were coming to the end of your contract, or did you have to request PAC or termination for them to offer you this deal to stay? I have got 2 £35 a month (400m, 400 txt) contracts expiring in December, and as I can't be bothered with the hassle of taking out more cashback contracts, a deal like the one you were offered would be brilliant. I've already got O2 broadband, I wonder if that is any use as a bargaining tool?
Cheers!0 -

I'm no expert, but if I was you I'd give them a call and explain your situation. Would it be possible to upgrade your tariff, and get much more mins & texts for maybe £5 more? I think you can upgrade tariffs during your contact. You aren't getting much for your £25 a month a present...0 -
in the end got 800 x-net anytime minutes, 500 texts, nokia 6500 classic, i think it is 30 or £35 pmonth with £210 cashback (don't have the bit ofpaper with me!)0

I just went through to rententions (think it's 202, 2, 2 from you O2 mobile) and asked for my PAC. We went through the usual why are you thinking of leaving and I honestly told them my current deal (very good cashback via DialAPhone) was coming to an end and I couldn't justify paying £35 for the mins/texts I was getting.
They made me a Simplicity offer which I thought about for about 5 days. Asked them to ring back after that and said I didn't really mind a contract (with no phone) - that's when he offered me what I posted. The broadband was discussed after that and didn't have any bearing on the deal I got.
I would suggest having a few of the best deals available (from places like DialAPhone) in front of you when phoning and being polite and friendly (we had a good chat).
I think the best thing to do if you don't get a good deal is just phone back a day or so later to try to speak to someone else.
Post #918 on the O2 retentions thread also has some good advice.0 -
Ok if you want to call retentions, there is 2 call centers, one which wont give you nowt and one that will. This is why you when you call back, you might get a better deal, as you would have come thought to the preston book call center.
The other guys at dearne valley, will just let you leave will your pac code an offer you nothing. The preston book call center are the people who can offer you the best deals, as there they ones who have control of the pot so to speak!
Best number to call is 08706007102 option 2, than option 2 again.
Hope this helps.0 -
Is there any way of upgrading from CPWO2 to O2 direct without losing my number?0
