My contract (12 months free on dialaphone) ends in 4 weeks time and I called for my PAC code today. Based on my usage I was offered a 12 month contract with no phone;-

    75 minutes per month
    250 texts per month
    £100 credit

So for a year my cost will be £20, assuming I don't go over my allowance (this is likely). seems a damn good deal and, since there are no great cashback deals on offer I'm likely to accept. I'll leave it until my current contract is nearing its last few days just in case they offer something better.

    Question for chattycathy,

Rang about 10 days ago because 12 month deal is up.
was offered the Ignito for £25 a month, 600 mins 1000 txt & unlimited internet.
I know its a good deal really but didn't want to spend £25 a month.
Refused deal and got my pack code.
If i ring the number you posted what do i ask, do i just say i want to talk about other retention offers? As i already have asked for pack code.

    My friend needs some help:

her contract expired in Jan 2007 and she's been paying £15 a month for 25 mins and 25 texts!! Awful

She now needs a new phone, and doesn't mind a contract but wants better texts and minute allowances.

What should she expect, in terms of phone and texts/minutes.

    thanks

It's difficult to say, it depends on her current usage etc I think. Why doesn't she just phone up and ask them? She doesn't have to accept a deal there and then, if she doesn't like what she hears she can just ask to think about it and hang up.

Thanks, she rang, enquiring about the N96(at my request)
they didn't offer anything as they said the N96 wasn't available.

she called back and they offered a nokia 6300 for £15 a month on 18 month contract with 200 mins and 200 texts. Pretty rubbish I thought. Especially as she has not upgraded since 2005!!! and she wants a 12 month contract.

If you have already ordered your pac code, the advisor who took your call has already took the hit for your disconnntion, so if you phone back, that wont help you any furture im afraid, as they will see it as you have already left o2.

That deal is a fab deal. if you was a new customer you would have to pay £45 per month for that, you really wont get that deal any cheaper off any advistors. However you are still entitled to that deal for 7 days, unless the phone goes out of stock, that deal will be held on your account as a quote.

    hope this helps cathyx

    Hi

O2 only do 18 month contacts now. call back tell them you have been online and found same deal but with 200 mins 400 text and free o2 calls for the same price. What they will do is put her on online deal not the retail deal, and still give you £10 discount per month.

you will need to call retentions on 08706007102.
  • Is there any way of upgrading from CPWO2 to O2 direct without losing my number?

yes the only way you can do this is by disconnecting with a pac code from car phone warehouse o2, go on www.o2.co.uk sign up for new contact and give pac code to o2. Then your up and running with o2 contact and your old number. you then wait untill contract expires ring rententions to get a better deal.

you can also move your number onto the sim only deal, as this wont tie you into a contract and you are also eligible for retention deal after 9 months with sim only deals.
