Has anyone managed to get a release date for the C905 from o2?

I've seen posts about people being offered it on it's release, but no body mentioned a release date, unless I missed it.

I called O2 on Friday. She said she wasn't allowed to tell me the date, but off the record, it's out on 24th October. She said I should call back nearer the time to negotiate a deal. I can't wait!! :D
If anyone knows where I get get one now, please let me know!!! :T

My contract ends on Nov 8th. I've been offered the Ignito deal which I'm quite tempted with. I heard there may be new phones coming out towards the end of Oct start of Nov. Would anyone advise that I wait a little longer and try to get a better deal?

    I was offered (and accepted):
    • 200 mins, 400 texts and unlimited O2 to O2 calls
    • £10 per month (18 month contract)
    • £150 credit instead of a new handset
This works out at £1.67 per month for the mobile :D and ...

also took 8 meg broadband for £2.50 per month (inc. free wireless router etc.) on a 12 month contract.

Thanks to all the posters here and, to be fair, O2. Very pleased with the deal I was offered.

2nd contract is up in a couple of weeks ;).

Current deal = Online 25 Texter (200 minutes, 500 texts)
"inclusive browse and download", and discount calls to US/Canada,
for £28/month, 18 month contract coming to an end on Nov 1st.

First call to retentions offer -
    200 minutes, 400 texts, a Nokia 6500 slide, for £25/month 18 month contract.
This strikes me as pretty weak, right...?

I am not using my allowance so I don't care about dropping that really, what I wanted was a new phone as my old O2 smartphone is frankly on its last legs, and to pay a bit less.

What should I be hoping for? The offer directly above that nickc84 got is waaaay better than what I was offered.

I am also on that tariff - have spent 10 months @ c.£55 and this one at £70. I'm after a N95 8GB with the 600 mins + u/l o2 to o2 and maybe data. I wonder if I can swindle it for £20 per month???? I'm due to call on 24th Oct so will post back then.........

if you call in the last month of your existing contract and request the new one to be started immediately.. you can actually be refunded any money owed to you as they bill in advance.. in my case in getting about a coupe of months free because my earlier tariff was £45 a month and i was only a few days into the billing month

I gotta be careful, as the final bill will be the last one for the 12 months free e2save cashback claim, so I think I will ask they start from the end of month 12. Cheers.

It depends when your bill arrives, when your next window to claim is and how early you send it in.

My October bill is dated October 9th, my final claim must be between Nov 2nd and Dec 2nd. I asked if my October bill would be accepted, as if I sent it on Nov 2nd it would arrive there before being 28 days old. This was the reply I got.

[FONT=&quot]Your October bill will be acceptable for your month 12 claim provided it is received within your 60 day claim window, and before the bill is older than 28 days old. As the claim period and the October bill’s 28 days do overlap, provided the claim is received within this period, we will be able to accept the October bill. If you are unable to send us the October bill and need to send us the November bill instead, and the November bill shows an upgrade has taken place with O2 directly, then this bill will not be acceptable.

I am in the same position really and am wondering whether to go for an O2 deal now or to wait until November 9th or so when my next bill arrives. I don't know how different the possible deals will be then or the phones on offer.
