yea, worst case scenario is that he doesnt get anything off line rental and ends up with a equal or better phone, everything to gain IMO, obviously if he is happy with phone and line rental let him be, but there is a good possibility that he could do better0 -
Just called through to retentions....was on £35p/m for 600 mins and 500 texts!
Said I wanted to cut my costs in half.
Got offered 600mins, 1000 texts, unlimited internet and O2 XDA Ignito - £20 p/m.
Think this is very reasonable and matches what others have got so I said yes!0 -

That's a pretty good deal, I am looking to get the Ignito as well, let us know how you get on with the phone!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

seems the ignito, 600 min, 1000 text, unlimited internet is a pretty standard retentions deal at the moment. was not hard to get, and got my phone today.
going to play this weekend and will see how it is. looks great though.0 -

Yeah. It was their first offer to me, once I spoke to them and said I wanted my PAC code as I was going to look for deals with the HTC touch diamond! Makes you wonder if this price could have been driven down even further........(still, no need to be greedy tho)!0 -
Was originally on O2 12 month contract, 400 mins and 540 texts for £35 a month.
Called today and was offered:
Samsung U900 Soul
600 mins
1000 texts
Unlimited web browsing
For £20 a month
Any good?0 -
I've had to cancel my contract with O2,
I've been with them on the same contract for 3 years, and since January this year have spent A LOT of money with them, due to me using my phone when out of the country, however when I phoned up yesterday to uprgrade, they told me I'd have to pay for the new phone I wanted, even though I told them I can get it ( and a better minutes/texts offer) for free online.and for less than I'm paying a month now, they told me I'd have to pay £180 for the phone (Nokia N95 8 GB)
Is there a way to either make them give me what I want, or keep my number when I get a new phone, which will probably be from Vodafone??0 -

You can request your PAC code from O2, which you give to your new provider.
However there seem to be a lot of cases where people request their code, and O2 ringing them up later to try and offer them a better deal.0 -
Had got upgrade of
BB Bold for £100
£25 for 400 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited O2-O2, BB Unlimited Data
Not happy so called up and wanted PAC so got it for £20 p.m for 18 months so paying approx. £25 for 18 months.
On my paper work says I get the unlimited O2-O2 bolt-on? When that would mean I should be able to change it then?
Good deal anyway?
BUT the new Blackberry Thunder 9500 is out in a week or so. First touch screen BB...? Should i get this baby?0 -
Hello,
For the last 3 years my contract renewal has always been to keep my existing phone. In return I get a 12 month contract, £24.99 tariff with £15 off per month - so I pay £9.99. I also get £100 credit at the start of the contract. So in effect I pay £10 for the last two months only. £20/year for all the calls and texts I need has sufficed until now.
This year when I renew I want to get a new phone, with better mobile broadband. I want to merge my phone and pda. I'll probably get an XDA.
So the advice I'm after is - what deal can I expect to get? What kind of deals have other people got on similar monthly usage (£25 tariff, very little extra usage). Any tips on getting a good deal if you already know what phone you want?
