Just had the "Winback" team give me a call... going to explain me through the disconnection process etc, did they heck! Lol!
They STILL wont budge, they wont offer me anything at £20.00 per month, the best they can do is:
1200 Minutes
1000 Texts
Unlimited Web
Free XDA Ignito
18 Month Contract
£27.00 Per Month
However the woman has said, I can continue on what I am on now with the following deal:
400 Minutes
1000 Texts
1MB Web Browsing
No Free Phone
12 Month Contract :money:
£150 Account Credit
£25.00 Per Month
With the credit, it essentially halves the line rental to £12.50 per month, however I get to stay on a 12 month contract and will be able to upgrade again in 11 months which means the cost of the year will be £137.50.
The other tariff works out at £459.00 per month although I did consider selling the XDA so this may fetch around £200.00, which would mean around £259.00+ for the 18 months.
The only thing I don't like about the plan I am on now is the limited web browsing.
She is going to call me back later, does anyone think I will be able to push her for unlimited web browsing on the 12 month tariff, given the £150.00 discount already on offer? I am aware it is only £7.50 per month, and this could be handy as I would only take it when I need it, which isnt very often, maybe 4 months of the year, but anything to get a little bit extra out of them.0 -
Ok, here is my latest situation. Realised the Omia was a bit out of my price range and am now after the 6220 Classic. The best they will offer me is the phone at £49.99 with 600 minutes and 1000 texts, i did not threaten to leave at this point, however they did say that is the absolute lowest they will go. That contract was at £25 a month, hearing that people managed to get it for £20 with no fee for the phone, what do you think is the best action for me to take next?
Again, thanks for all the help, very much appreciated0 -
Well they phoned me back; I told the woman, if they could give me unlimited web on the 12 month no-phone contract, id take it there and then. She said it wasnt possible to do on the 12 month contracts, as they are really tied down with what they can offer on them, as the network is trying to get everyone onto 18 and 24 month contracts.
She said what she could do for me is the following:
400 Minutes To Any Network
Unlimited Text Messages
Unlimited o2 - o2 Calls
Unlimited Web Bolt On
18 Month Contract (well you can't have everything)
£15.00 per month
10 months free line rental (in the form of £150.00 credit)
And of course my o2 treats will continue!
Im against 18 month contracts, however I thought to myself, would like the web bolt on, and everyone I know both family and friends is on o2, so the unlimited calls is very attractive, and with me having to pay ZERO for the next 10 months, suits me down to the ground.
I also asked for a new number, she said as I had one a couple of years back it would be £35.00 however she would put a note on my account, so I can ring up customer services when I want it, and get a new one for free (she isnt able to change it herself), which is just a nice added bonus.
So in all, it works out at £5.80 per month, of course no new phone and had to move on to an 18 month'er, but im happy as can be with my K800i Silver, which still has 14 months warranty and the tariff I believe, is excellent!0 -
Hi all,
I have got a few weeks left on my contract:
£35 for something like 800-1000 mins & 500 texts
Anyway, i know i shouldn't, but i really want a iphone!!
Has anyone had a any good deals? Not really read many people on thins thread going for the iphone, so not too sure if there are deals to be had? I would even pay the £35 per month and £60 for the phone if i might be able to get home broadband free, do you think this might be possible???
Cheers all0 -
o2 Mobile and o2 Broadband are seperate entities, they have different staff and their systems are not inter-connected, so I doubt you will be able to get a mobile+home bb deal im afraid!0

That's not true. Read back a few pages and you'll see that people have been offered free O2 broadband by the mobiles retentions team.0 -

The Bold is not due for release until Monday so their deals are pants currently! Look at Orange and vodafone for some comaparative prices - orange is currently only charing £7.50 for the Blackberry add ons.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
Good evening all. First post here.
My O2 contract came under renewal so gave them a call and managed to order on Friday the Blackberry Bold - £25 p.m for 18 months but £100 for the phone.
400 mins
1000texts
Blackberry Data Bolt-on
Unlimited o2-o2 calls which is good as all family are on it.
Not sure whether I got a good deal compared to some of the other posters?
Did take some negotiating and he said he couldn't get any more off and phone will arrive monday.
I think I'm going to ring up monday and cancel it but see if I can get more out of them.
What do you guys think, A good deal?0 -
Good afternoon all,
My contract is due to expire in Nov. Call to cancel straightway and was offered a deal as below:
400min/1000text
Unlimited web
£30/18m
Samsung i900
it looks not bad, though I can get same phone from vadafone at £35/18m with more min (600m/unlimited text/web) plus a bluetooth headset
Any comments on the deal? Anyone manage to get the same phone at lower rental?
Am thinking to accept it next Monday as with upgrade, as I don't need to go through ordering, PAC etc if I change to Vodafone
Thanks,0
