    I just got offered
    600 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited O2 to O2
for £15 per month via the carphone warehouse...

OR I could sign up for a 'guaranteed' cashback deal which gives £600 cashback and works out at £1.66 per month... (based on the original £35 O2 tarriff)..
I signed up for the cashback deal

I have 14 days notice to cancel if anyone can see a problem with this...

All I did was tell them the deal that you guys were talking about and they matched it (without the extra £150 for not having a new phone)... I made a mistake by telling them about the lack of phone before they'd given me the deal... d'oh....

Interesting this, because we've just given 3 the boot with the wifes contract, and signed up,via Quidco,to this deal, and it's £20pm,which is still cheaper than the deal that 3 were trying to offer her.

What hacks me off even more,is the fact I'm an 02 customer,so I'll be ringing them tomorrow,to see if they'll reduce it to £15,as we only signed up today.

If they won't,I'll cancel it,then get it through the CPW.

I rang 02 today, and the lady on the other end, said this deal was impossible, because it has already been discounted by 02 themselves,so she wouldn't budge.

What I didn't tell her was that it was through CPW,just to see if she would bite, but she was having none of it.

However,we've just got the wifes current, and last 3 bill through this morning, and it's £47,when it should be £15,so you can see I'm saving already.

02 now have the PAC,and have told me it should be done by Friday.

Currently paying £25 for 100 texts and 100 mins and generally don't go over but if do just by £1 or so.

I called O2 today and been offered the following:

    One Month Contract
200 mins and 400 texts at £10 per month

    Twelve Month Contract
100 mins and 100 texts at £10 per month and free for first 10 months. But no new phone.

Do you think I will get anything from them?
  • Just called to get my PAC code and was offered:

    LG Viewty
600 mins 1000 texts plus one bolt on e.g free weekend calls, free landline calls, free web browsing. Costing £24.50 per month. Saving £189 over 18 months compared to what I pay now....

    HOWEVER,

I've seen the LG viewty, on mobiles.co.uk website £35 per month, 600 mins unlimited texts and £170 auto cashback (where cheque is sent after 14 days) and if I went through quidco I get £35 credit with them plus a free bluetooth headset as well as a free PAYG Nokia 1650 with £10 crdit with virgin - don't know why you get a free phone with a phone but hey my gran can have it!

So with that deal I'd get £170 cashback but £35 from quidco so I'd be £205 better off and I'd get the money sooner and actually buy something decent with it, rather than just cut costs monthly...

    What do you think??

I told the guy my deal and he didn't seem to be able to beat it. The only bonus are the bolt on's but I know I don't use that many mins and texts anyway so those included will do me fine...

To do it, or not, that is the qustion!

  • Is a lower Rate monthly better for you?
Are you going to use the internet?

If yes then stick with the contract you have arranged.

If you want the extra money then go with the newer deal.

Well O2 rang me today and offered three different deals:

    Monthly
£10 per month with 200 mins and 400 texts

    Twelve Month
£15 per month with 200 mins and 400 texts. £100 credit

    Eighteen Month
£10 per month with 200 mins and 400 texts. £150 credit

Now not sure what to do; the eighteen months is a good one I think but am locked for a while

That was what I thought so if wanted to get a new phone could get a new contract and not worry too much on the costs of two phones
  • I'm now in my month where i can upgrade and looking at some of the deals that have been dished out i'm wondering if i might be able to push for the following:

    400 mins
    500 tex
    free mobile internet
    free home interent
    new phone

Now, i was trying to hold out for the n96, but no relase date has been mentioned. So, i was thinking the n95 8gb, or the new samsung tocco. Anyone think this is reasonable? oh, and ive been with o2 for 5 years, loyalty bargain chip maybe??!
