    sorry....

Having problems with o2 here... won't give me any of the deals listed here because " my average monthly spend" is only £17 a month on discount 500...
    offered 200 mins and 100 txt free o2 - o2 for £17.50 a month £100 instead of a phone or a crappy Nokia 6300 !

Anyone got a good deal after with a low spend ?

I didn't think I'd get a good deal with O2 directly because i'd been on a 'free' 25/25 deal for 12 months... So, I rang up Carphone Warehouse and told them the deal that all you guys had put on here (600/1000, O2 to O2 for £20 plus £150 off if you don't get another phone)... They gave me the deal for £15 per month... - a bit dearer than O2, but still a cracking deal (especially as O2 would probably not have given me it).... -
Maybe you could do a similar thing.... - tell them that xxx provider is giving an xxx deal (a genuine one) and see what they come up with...

...as I am still in my 2 week review period.

Quoted the deals on this site and got some movement but the chap I spoke to said that as I was a low user, there was a budget figure that he had to work to.

Ended up with 200 mins, 400 text (lucky if I use 20 a month), free O2/O2 calls, 18 month contract @ £10/month with £100 credit. This works out at £80 for 18 months, so equates to £4.44/month.

They put the wife onto the same deal too and that's where most of my call go to along with colleagues - and the company is on O2 too.

Still pleased as we were on 75 mins for £10/months so we have better than twice the service for less than half the cost.

How do you guys do it as when I ring they offer me very little?

Currently on the £25 package giving me 100 minutes and 100 texts. Very rare go over.

There are 2 ways to do it.

Option 1 - talk to the call centre rep nicely and say you are thinking of leaving as you have seen a better deal elsewhere

Option 2 - Ask for the PAC and say you are leaving. Don't accept the offer, then wait for the phone company to call you back and offer you a nice deal :)

Option 1 - Any ideas of what deals I could get elsewhere for £25 with 100 mins and 100 texts.

Option 2 - If I ask for my PAC, do I have to use it or can I call them a week or so later to say I dont want to cancel. want to say with O2 but want hte best deal

    ...on Orange:

    http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/paymsim?cid=323&sid=44&pid=0&mid=131&acid=33345382

I use HotUKDeals.com and select the mobiles tab, the deal above was the 3rd one down the list.

With a deal like this on screen, I just phoned up via 202 options, asked for my PAC directly and was asked if I minded saying where I was headed (must be going somewhere with a PAC). "Course not", and read verbatim off the webpage with glee.

The operative immediately offered a deal.

You have 2 weeks cooling off and so I went back and "challenged" them quoting the deals I saw other getting on this site. Got the wee extra cashback deal then, not a lot but it's in my pocket rather than theirs. Handed the phone over to 'er indoors and got the same setup for her too.

We're sorted for the next 18 months - then we'll have another go...

Igot an 18 month contract with 150 pounds credit.

£10 a month for 200 minutes and 400 texts and unlimited 02 to 02 calls,
so that would be £30 to pay over the entire 18 months only (approx £1.67 per month) which is great!!

Friday 25th july I got the same deal as sophlowe45 above, today my other half's contract is up,phoned and said he wanted the same deal as me, 3 phone calls later they will not budge will only give 200 mins 200 texts and £100 credit, we both had £30 12 month contracts , so whats different, why won't they play ball this time?????any ideas????.

keep trying sanfly, it took me 2 phone calls to get the same deal....they will relent!
  • Just got my contract renewal sorted out. was originally offered 200mins and 400txts for 20 a month but said no and phoned back later. On the second call was offered one of their sim only deals, but i needed a new phone so rejected that. On the third call got put through to a more helpful person who after telling me she couldnt give me what i wanted, gave me 600mins, 1000txts, web bolt on, free home broadband and a new phone for £25. Not too bad if i say so myself.
