    update

o2 have just rung me and i have now achieved the same offer as sophlowe45 above, good result, asked for a phone as well, they would not wear that, said i wanted time to think aboout it and they are going to ring me tommorrow, wonder if i could push for that phone as well

Many thanks, hubby needs to phone next week and this will be the target.
It would be nice to lose the texts for say another 100 mins.

What are the lastest offers for £5 per month (no phone).
My hubby rang last week and was told they couldn't offer anything until the 29th July (contract ends Aug. 28th). He wants to keep the number for work and only needs about 200mins, though 400 would be great (doesn't use texts).

    Hi Lynsey

I'm pretty chuffed with the deal that I got. You won't want exactly the same, but this will give you an idea of what's possible.

I spoke to a nice lady in retentions. Told her I want 100 minutes and 100 texts for £5pm. Pretty well straight away she offered me:
    - Online 20: 18 months @ £20
    - 75 minutes
    - 250 texts (I tried to get her to swop me some texts for minutes - I don't text a lot - but she didn't shift)
    - £15 discount for 18 months
    - £50 upgrade credit
If I've done my maths right, that means paying £2.22 a month.

I agreed. Got my confirmation letter through today. Everything as agreed. Now I just need to check my next bill.

Igot an 18 month contract with 150 pounds credit.

£10 a month for 200 minutes and 400 texts and unlimited 02 to 02 calls, i tried to push for more minutes but she said i used an average of 124 minutes at the moment (as i try to really limit my phone calls as my monthly allowance is currently 100 mins) and that most of my calls are to 02 anyway...

so that would be £30 to pay over the entire 18 months only (approx £1.67 per month) which is great!!

Wow! Wish I'd known about this before I agreed my deal!!

Ditto - but have prepared the wife to go for this improved deal.

  • Currently trying to get a deal out of o2 - getting to where I want to be but they say they don't have any SE C902s left in stock and they won't know when they will be back in.

Anyone know if this is true? Any suggestions?

    Cheers in advance.

    Sorted, he got through to retentions and accepted this deal;

    250 mins.
    100 texts.
Long weekend deal, unlimited mobile and landline weekend calls.

    18 months - £150 credit.
    £10 per month.

= £30/18 - the grand total of £1.66666666666 per month, I might let him round it up to £1.67 because I'm kind. :D

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    I just got offered
    600 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited O2 to O2
for £15 per month via the carphone warehouse...

OR I could sign up for a 'guaranteed' cashback deal which gives £600 cashback and works out at £1.66 per month... (based on the original £35 O2 tarriff)..
I signed up for the cashback deal

I have 14 days notice to cancel if anyone can see a problem with this...

All I did was tell them the deal that you guys were talking about and they matched it (without the extra £150 for not having a new phone)... I made a mistake by telling them about the lack of phone before they'd given me the deal... d'oh....

Either 0800 1313136 or dialling 202 from my mobile.

Anyone else aware if they do have C902s in stock via retentions?

    Thanks in advance.
