Just rang up quoting the 3 500 mix and match package for £18. They immediately offered me 400 mins, 1000 texts and unlimited o2 to o2 calls for £15 per month AND the phone I wanted (Sony Ericsson W760i worth £180) I probably should have been a bit more reluctant but they gave me more than I was looking for in the first offer!
Thank you to all the previous posters.

    Samsung F480, 600 mins, unlimited txt - £20 a month.

Could probably have pushed for more but I'm happy. :D:D

Just phoned them again and told them I was interested in swapping the texts for data.

They've said if I call back on Monday I can change it to 600 mins, 1000 txt, unlimited data :)

Last year when threatened to cancel i was put on the discount 500 (£25), which was 500 min, 500 text, and as i remember i had to pay £60 for the phone, so i was not expecting much this year.

However, i have just come into my cancellation period and phoned them up saying i wanted to reduce my costs but increase everything else. I was surprised when i got -

    £20 per month
    600min
    1000text
    free internet browsing
    free SE C902
and 8mb home broadband added on for £2.50!!

A bargain for £22.50 I pay twice that now.

If everything comes through OK, then well done O2.

How did they offer broadband?. When I upgraded I wasn't offered any broadband offer.
  • Got the same deal as above that is 600 mins with C902, and was offered free O2 broadband for 12 months. Am moving house in Aug, and they have offered to set it up in my new place in Aug.

contract due for renewal now on Wednesday. Don't want a new phone and want to keep my tariff as low as possible. Paying £15 for 100 minutes + 200 texts (don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to this at renewal last year!)

Want to get down to about 300 minutes + 200 texts for £5 (perhaps over 24 months)

Also would love free broadband - but would think I'd be chancing my arm a bit there. :(

Anyway, any kind souls out there care to volunteer a strategy as I'm hopeless at negotiating (see 3rd sentence above).

Well try calling after 7:30, as they will be rushing through as they close at 8:00.

I told them I get a Three deal for just £15/mth and free handset and that was the starting point. I didn't agree any deals until they offered a £15 discount on any tariffs. I was offered £100 instead of a handset upgrade, but I told my friend got £150 and I was then offered £150.

If you are offered £15 discount, try asking that discount for 24 months on Online 25 tariff which gives 400 mins and 1000 txts. If you get £150 credit, then that makes only £3.75/mth for 24 mths.

I ordered my handset on saturday, and got the same deal as a couple of other people.

    Sony Ericsson C902 (Free)
    600 Minutes
    1000 Texts
    Free unlimited WAP.

I phoned about half hour before that and was only offered 400mins, 1000 txts, no WAP on a £30 a month tariff.
I said no thanks, i'll take my PAC code and they phoned me back half hour later with the offer i accepted.

Im on O2 500 at the moment (500mins, 500 texts @ 35/mth). Has anyone had any 12mth retention offers? I see that for 18mths, I should expect around 600mins, 1000txts, and any phone for £20/mth
