I'm saying you can save probably £240 without worrying about which phone and whether it's in stock, and the effort of listing and posting it.

Phone is in stock and upgrade confirmed (but can change mind as been offered same deal for £20 per month and £150 credit) for now decided to go with the N95 8-gig as on ebay they are going for about £300 +. So selling the phone and paying the higher rentals still means it is cheaper run for the 18 months (or 17 as you can upgrade earlier).

A quick thought ... are O2 contract handsets still unlocked - i.e Nokia N95? Called O2 and they said they were "not allowed" to tell me!!

    Thanks.
  • Requested PAC code yesterday, CS not very helpful even when put through to retentions. Ended up not agreeing deal and asking for PAC to be sent out as I had heard that this has worked with others who get a call-back the next day...

Sure enough the very next day I had a call from CS who were able to offer me much better deals - I quoted the 3's '300 mix+match' tarrif with the SE C902 @ £22/M including £7 video calls (but said I had agreed with 3 to swap this for unlimited web usage ;)).

No N95 8GB though as the lady claimed that they were out of stock and were having technical difficulties with the handsets anyway...hmm - not what one of the above moneysavers was told an hour earlier! Anyway I stuck with it, asking for one of the next most expensive handsets - Samsung F480 Tocco (on eBay for ~£220) and was given the following offer:-

    Samsung F480 (or Nokia 6220/SE C902)
    £20/M on 18M contract
    600 mins / 100 txts
    2 x free bolt ons - unlimited web + free O2-O2 calls
inclusive of VAT and itemised billing (important to check as these 2 can easilly add on £5/M)

Thought this was a decent deal but am holding out for N95 8GB (eBay for ~£300) and/or monthly charge of £15 - fingers crossed!

Yes - they are all unlocked. My work mobile Voda sim works just fine in my O2 N95 8GB ;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
What are the lastest offers for £5 per month (no phone).
My hubby rang last week and was told they couldn't offer anything until the 29th July (contract ends Aug. 28th). He wants to keep the number for work and only needs about 200mins, though 400 would be great (doesn't use texts).

  • Hi

My Company is swapping it's corporate phone plan from BT Mobile (O2?) to Vodaphone. I spend about £35pm and repay personal use (about 200 mins plus 50 texts), but it's a basic phone deal.

Any chance with O2 retentions to get a personal deal? Looking for a handset as well.
[Best comparative offer for cutting a deal (if I can get one) much appreciated]

I like SE and have a K650i on Tesco P&G at the moment. Nice phone, not great battery life, unlocked. (SE got a lot better when they changed the joystick to a rocker pad).

    Thanks

BT Mobile = Vodafone, not o2.

I've finally managed to get a deal out of retentions though :D:D

    Samsung F480, 600 mins, unlimited txt - £20 a month.

Could probably have pushed for more but I'm happy. :D:D
  • Thanks Kilty.... corrected my post (wrong way round)
