Have been on o2 simplicity 600 mins for about 7 months now and o2 35 12 month contract for a year before that. After reading about the deals others have been getting on this thread, decided to give o2 a ring. Said I'd seen the 3 mix and match 500 which they were offering to me with the N95 8 GB for 24/month and asked for the PAC code. They misunderstood it as the PUK code and sent me to customer relations. CR realised the mistake and sent me back to retentions. I was told the the N95 is an expensive phone, they can only offer me the 18 month contract for the full 35 pounds a month. Was asked if I was interested in the 18 month 30 pound/month 400 mins contract. When I said no as it was more expensive than the deal 3 were offering, was politely told that the code would be sent to me, that there was a 30 day period in which it would lapse, and that my connection would be cancelled witthin 48 hours of the code being applied. wth?0

I'm not best please with O2 now. it's upgrade time, I'm out of contract with them and was getting 200 mins/500 texts (free 100 text bolt on) and last year the U600 which was brand new at the time, on a 12 month contract for £20 a month.
Today I've rang upgrades who offered me the standard stuff on the website, then I've just called back to retentions and the best the woman said she could do was 200 mins 800 texts, samsung soul 12mth contract @ £30 a month?
surely I can do better than this?
Any suggestions?0 -
I think people's previous suggestions have included asking for your PAC code.
A couple of questions on that though - what happens when you ask for your PAC code? If they give it to you, and you do nothing with it, then does nothing happen? Or when they give it to you, does it mean that after a certain number of days you will be disconnected etc0 -

When you ask for your PAC they post you the code and then it's valid for 30 days, then expires if unused. If you've not given the PAC to another network then nothing happens, your connection continues as normal. If you decide after those 30 days you want to move network then you have to request a new PAC.If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0 -
I took out a contract on O2 through e2save 12 months cashback £35 a month. It was for my daughter at Uni. It expires this month so I phoned to cancel. I was offered 400 minutes & 1000 texts for £10 a month. Locked in for another 12 months. I currently have 2 contracts with CPW and they wanted to retain my custom."Food has replaced sex in my life. Now, even I can't get into my own pants."0

Just sorted out my next upgrade. Had been hoping for a N95 8GB - but the upgrades departments had not idea when it would be back in stock.
So I managed to get N78 - online 35 with free web - on 18 month contract for £24.50. Pretty pleased with that - worth the 4 or 5 calls I had to make.0 -
They really are not playing ball with me this year - it's like the longer I'm with them the less they appreciate it?
I've been through to retentions twice now and still they won't budge from £25 per month 18 month contract 200 mins/400 texts and samsung soul.
think it's finally time to leave o2 - after 10 years!0
