Thanks. :) Was surprised I was offered it so quickly, especially as I don't really even regularly get near 200 texts/400 mins a month. In previous years they've been a lot less willing to give me much decent.

Good luck with any future negotiations!

That's a decent deal. The Secret hasn't been out long and is considered one of the top phones. They seem to be offering previous 12month customers good deals to get them onto 18month contracts. I was on a 12month contract and couldn't believe the deal they offered me (£20 = 18mths, 600mins 1000txt, unlimited web N95 8GB) I was all ready to haggle but didn't even need to, it was the first thing they offered!

I think they're trying to get rid of their N95 stock because the N96 is out in a couple of weeks. But the N95 is still an awesome phone.

wow that is a good deal £20 a month!!!! you think i should phone back then?

I looked at the N95 8Gb tbh but its a bit bulky for my liking - great phone though.

I asked from the outset for the LG Secret so they realy were giving me what I asked for.

Bit miffed now though that mine is £25/month whereby yours is £20/month for same deal....should I phone up and say this? as you have 14day cooling off period dont you?

That £20 tarriff is a 'standard' discounted tarriff they'll offer to most people . What would be really awesome is if I can get the N95 8GB on a 12 month contract for a price less than £150

I recently decided to cancel my simplicity contract after only six months, as I was overspending on average £8 every month, ( I was on the £15 a month plan).

Retentions dept. tried to call me all day Friday but yesterday I accepted the call and after telling the agent I was unhappy with the service I was offered 250 cross network mins, unlimited 02 to 02 calls and 100 texts for £10 per month over 18 months.

I also got £100 cashback which means I will only pay £80 for the whole period, and works out at exactly £4.44 a month. Which suits me very nicely ...I didn't need a new phone as I managed to bag a sim free SE W610i from an 02 shop back in January this year for only £50. Their Pay and Go version was double that! All in all quite happy.

Was that directed at me mutleycat?

    If so I was on a £30/month 200+200 no web on a 12month contract.

i phoned and said orange doing a £30/month 600+unlimited text+unlimited web+free LG Secret. They said ok, how about this...

I think its best to go on with something that you want, and check what you can get, I prob wold have been happy with a price match to be honest it saved a lot of hassle of changing contracts over, PAC codes etc, so for 35/month cheaper I sort of got the same deal I wanted

thx Andyloc...always useful to know what they are offering...so i can play them at their own game.....a few years ago they reduced my tafiff to £9 and gave me a £100 credit.....which worked out at £8 for the year!!

    hi all.
Is anyone getting the N95 black 8Gb version on a 12 month contract? I can't get them to budge lower than £150 for the handset + contract.
