No, your PAC is your option to cancel. You have to use it within 30 days otherwise the contract will continue.

Those 'first line' upgrade people have nothing of good to offer - you need to speak to the big boys in retentions. They weren't keen to discuss any of the tariffs/upgrades, but instead kept pushing this rolling 1 month contract of 200mins, 400 texts and unlimited O2 to O2 calls for £15 on the basis that they have some 'really good deals coming up so it is probably best to wait a while'.

Ended my O2 contract last month, moved to 3 all went well. Noticed that O2 had not refunded the part month paid for but not used. Online chat resulted in them saying yes there is a bill credit (£5.61) but you have to fill in a form online to claim it - cheeky.

  • ... or lack of it

Coming to the end of my 24 month contract, I don't want a new phone, just ~1gb data and minimal texts and mins and a rolling monthly contract.

Didn't want to know - £16 and a 12 month contract was the best they offered - am I expecting too much? Have been a customer for years! Giffgaff it is then I guess...

    £12 with Talkmobile http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/simple.html

    12 months again, though.

Giffgaff's owned by O2, so you won't have left them really.

ha, yeah that's true... they'll always win.

I was just surprised they would only go to £16... that's not that cheap really.
  • So I put in my cancelation notice for O2 last week on my 24 month contract on a blackberry bold 9700.
My current deal is: unlimited 02 to 02 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mins and 4gb internet.

I'm looking to stay with them and waiting on a call from retentions and hopefully get a good deal on the iphone 5? Should I contact them in the next couple of days and try get one sorted ASAP or wait for them to contact me? Stuck in a bit of a limbo right now. If anyone could advise me what to do and what the best steps to take now that would be fantastic.

Thank you for your help & time, it is greatly appreciated
    Kind regards,

You are mixing them up with 3. They are the ones who ring you up whilst they have your notice.

    O2 won't bother you.

Yup, didn't contact me once when my contract was up.

What's their model - why don't they want to keep existing customers?
