Delays occur in delivery - could be items are sent from different places so you just have to wait. If you want to haggle more, go ahead nothing stopping you - bit of a lame excuse.0
-
It wasn't that the delivery was delayed. I upgraded on Friday and the man told me the the phone was ordered and should arrive Tuesday. Whereas today (Tuesday), I was told he hadn't even ordered the phone in the first place. I had to inform him what phone it was I was looking to get.0

your lucky for any deal on iphone, so be a waste of timeDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I upgraded from a Blackberry Bold to an Iphone 4s. Originally I was offered a 16gb handset for £50 upfront then £36 per month for unltd texts, mins and 1gb of data.
Got through to retentions and was offered the 32gb model for no upfront cost with unltd texts, mins and 1gb data. This is at £45 per month but the first 6 months are £7.50.
Good deal?0 -
I am way over due an upgrade so I have been in touch with O2 to see what they can offer.
I saw on O2 deal online with dial a phone, for a Samsung Galaxy SII in White, 24 month contract, 200 Mins, Unlimited SMS, 500MB, no handset fee for £18.81.
The nearest I could find on the O2 website was £21.50 per month and a handset price of £79.99
I contacted O2 last week and they offered to give me £50 credit if I took up their deal.
I didn't take it up at the time, but today I have gone back and apparently the £50 credit deal is only available on new accounts!
I don't understand why they wont give existing customers the same as new customers.
The advisor said I could just cancel my existing account and set up a new account, but surely it would be simpler for them to upgrade my exisiting account?

Why do you bother what is simpler for them? Do what is better for you.
Switch to PAYG after the min term expires.
Buy a new contract at d-a-p or elsewhere (don't forget tcb/quidco).
Transfer the old number to the new contract.0 -

It isn't just for new "accounts", you can also get it for a new "connection".
So you can get a new connection, with the £50 credit, and then change your existing number over direct (ie no need to go through the PAC out to a payg SIM, and PAC back in)0 -
o2 contract expires at the end of the month. Currently on:
250 mins
unlimited texts
24 months @ £10.50 (included a free phone at the time)
just called up o2 retentions and was offered phone upgrade choice of Galaxy Ace 2, Blackberry 9320, HTC One Z or HTC Desire C and same contract details + 100mb data for £13.50 p/m, 24 months
Tried to haggle but they weren't budging. Didn't take it as I thought that it was weak considering that I'm paying an extra £3 a month for a small amount of data for another 2 years and getting no loyalty discount.
Am I wrong? Does anything think it's worth calling up to haggle once more?
My other option is perhaps finding a SIMO deal with cashback (quick search shows Orange at about £6 p/m with 50 more mins and 400mb more data) and buying a smart phone on the cheap. Could probably save a bit of money doing this but would rather avoid the hassle
in the unlikely event that I do go for the upgrade, which of the 4 phones is the best?0 -
Sure it wasn't the One S or One V they offered rather than the One Z? One Z doesn't exist.
Get your PAC (if you want to keep your number) or request cancellation. They will then ring you back to get you to stay. When they do, get them to match or beat the offer Orange. If they don't, leave.
Remember, loyalty means nothing. What matters is how much money they can make from you.
I would rate the HTC One S (assuming that is what they offered) as the best of those phones.

Google o mio, links to that site don't work.0 -
Can anyone help me, O2 say they need a 30 day notice period for cancellations, and that a PAC code is valid for 30 days...
Does this mean I have to phone once to cancel and then phone back for my PAC code a couple of weeks later? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
