Hi,
My girlfriends contract had just expired on her iphone 3g on o2.
She was paying a whopping 35 a month for it LOL
That was with 600 mins unlim txts 500mb data
Anyway after i got my S2 on orange retentions for
£23 for 900 mins unlim txts and 1gb data and 30 pic messages
I spoke to o2 on her behalf to see what i could get
When she spoke to them in shop they offered her:
Galaxy S2 free for £27 a month for 300 mins unlim txts and 500mb data
or
Galaxy S2 free for £32 a month but same as above but with 600 mins
Get this....when she spoke to o2 on the phone they quoted the £27 deal but with upfront £60 for the phone LMAO
Anyway I spoke to them and went through to customer retentions and managed to get this deal after an hour on the phone LOL
Free Galaxy S2 in white
£21.50 a month
200mins unlim txts 500mb data
+200 cross network loyalty minutes
This deal was through phones4u on o2 but
I got them to match the deal and add the extra minutes on
Plus my GF gas a £75 off corporate discount on o2
So works out £17.50 a month0 -
Been on o2 simplicity 30 day contract for many years now but my bill has crept up slightly. Managed to get:
900 mins any network
Free o2 to o2 mins
Free unlimited landline
Free unlimited text messages
Not sure about internet as i dont use it and dont care
12 months simplicity contract for £21. Hope thats good.0 -
I bit the bullit and came back to O2. I had a deal with TMobile after being with O2 for a number of years. Tmobile contract was for £10 pm unlimited text and internet and 100 mins. This was great but I found that the conection failed in certain areas of the country. I finally got fed up and got a new contract with O2.
Free Blackberry Bold 9900
300 mins
unlimited Text
500 mb of data
All for £27 pm.
Was I right to make the change back to O2 ?0 -
I have just finished an 18 month contract with 02, which saw me have:
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
1GB data
For £46 which included a 40% loyalty discount.
So I rang them today and was offered on 12 months:
New phone, model tba
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
500mb of data
For...............
£68 per month with no loyalty discount!!!!!!!!
So I get less for more basically. Needless to say some hard ball bartering with disconnections will be called for, as I also have 2 other 02 deals in my name for the wife and daughter, and my broadband with them as well. That's my mutt in the picture above.0 -
What is the lowest tariff o2 will give you nowadays at renewal time? Anyone managed to get say 50 mins or 50 texts out of them for a fiver a month?0
-
Can answer my own question now, just got off the phone from o2, the lowest they will do is £8.50 per month for 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB data. Which isn't too bad, but...
I just signed up for a 3 sim-only contract for £12.00 per month, giving me 600 minutes, 3000 texts and 1GB data, which in itself works out much better for me. But I have done it through Quidco, and it's tracked at £82, so works out at £5.15 per month!
Goodbye o2, network has been going downhill for the past 2 years anyway!! 7 years as a loyal customer, paying £36 per month for the past 2 years, and I get nothing (the best they would do was £16.50 for the same (well less data and crappier network) as Three).0
