    Hi

Can anyone offer any good suggestions. My heads got all fuzzy looking at the different website deals and I can't figure out which would be the best deal.

    My Existing Contract
    02/CPW 24month Expires 30APR11
    £4.90 pm incl VAT
    75 mins talk anytime
    250 txt
    unlimited internet access
Have been with same company for 13years.

    I Need:-
    To keep the same Number
Not too bothered about a new phone (though I've never had an upgrade in 13years and had to purchase phone seperately)
    100-150 txts pm
    100 talk time pm
If possible internet access but not crucial as I don't use it that often except when trying to use the sat nav on my phone.

    Thanks :)

If I were you, I'd take a look at e2save cashback deals - but only if you're a very organised sort of person.

O2 wouldn't offer me anything remotely attractive, so I switched to Orange with e2save for what's basically a free 24 month contract after cashback and Topcashback. 400 minutes pm, plenty of texts and unlimited landline - net cost minus £22!
  • I just spoke to O2 about upgrading from iphone 3GS to 4. I seemed to get no credit for having been with them for donkeys years. The staff I spoke to were clueless and didn't seem to care that I would go elsewhere for a better deal. Clowns.

....and after their ad to say we want to keep our current customers. What a load of crap. I wish someone from O2 would come and answer some of the issues we have on this thread.

I think I'll just keep my 3GS and go to the lowest tarriff on O2-I never use anything like my maximum.

It's just annoying they bring out an advert that says the exact opposite to what they actually do.

The adverts say that O2 customers will get at least the same deal as new customers which seems to be peoples problem in this thread, that they're getting offered the same deal as new customers. They do have 12 month contracts which are only available to existing customers and if you're profitable (and most likely not using an iPhone) you can get discounts, but if you're on a £15 tariff, never going over your allowances and you're wanting an iPhone 4 or a similar value handset you're probably going to be out of luck.

I'm with O2 on a 12 month simplicity tariff with 300mins, unlimited texts and unlimited 02 to 02 calls for £10.31 a month. I called for my PAC code and they offered me a Desire S on a 24mth contract for £21.50 a month, £59.99 upfront, for 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data.

Its not a bad deal I think, but I told them I was going to go to Talkmobile and get a Desire S for £18 a month with 300 mins, 1000 texts and unlimited data.

    What to do!
    Debt: September 28th 2009 £0!!!!! Finally!
    [strike]March 30th 2008 £5,350[/strike]
    [strike]September 29th 2008 £7,800[/strike]
    [strike]January 1st 2007 £21,000[/strike] (Max debt)
Original DFD target was end Aug 2009
  • I am leaving o2 for T Mobile come Monday. My contract doesn't end until Oct/Nov but it will save me money in the long run. I have never found their upgrade options attractive, and simply stuck with them as i didn't think any other network would accept me considering the state of my credit history currently.

I currently have: 1200 mins, 1000 texts (rarely use more than 200 so useless really!, unltd landlines/bb service/internet for a reduced price (apparently) of £37 per month with the old Bold phone.

T Mobile have offered: 900 mins, 500 texts unltd T Mob calls (where i will save money), unltd internet/bb service for £35. I had to pay £30 for the BB Torch handset and £100 deposit as a new customer, but overall i think that's fab. It should have been 600 mins and without internet, but got extras thrown in

Although the o2 plan offers more in some ways, it didn't meet my needs a mobile phone user. They offer very little in the way of flexibilty, i like the fact T Mobile can arrange a plan to suit you wherever possible.

Plus, hubby is in the Caribbean (lives there) and managed to get free international blackberry service from them for a month. :T

I have only been a customer for 2 days since placing the order online and i am impressed...
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life... unless I buy something.

Why would o2 be interested in keeping you. O2 is not your friend they are a buisness. If they are not giving you what you want, go somewhere else. For every 1 person that leaves o2 5 more will join.

Phone numbers can be transfered now in 1 day, there is no reason to stay with the same network. There are better deals to be got by switching networks frequently.
