O2 were not interested in keeping me either, I rang earlier to find out the end date of my contract and was offered a new phone and costly monthly deal and when I rang back a few days ago to ask for my PAC number was told it would be sent within two hours and not even a question as to why I should want to leave. I did half expect a phone call from them later to try and get me back but no they really are not bothered. If I was one of their staff I'd be worried about my job right now as all the best deals are through companies other than the major providers anyway!:j Addicted to money saving0

I have been with O2 for over a decade. With recent 'no service' problems in my area for a whole month, after calling customer services and going into local O2 shops they were not bothered, and that's no exageration. Infact the last phone call with O2 about the service the Customer Service rep just said "if we can't help go to another provider".0

I am currently on an O2 sim only tariff, 12 month contract, which is about to come to an end.
I am currently paying £15 per month for 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb internet, which is enough for me each month.
I'm happy to stay with O2, but what should I be holding out for? All the above for £10 per month?0 -
I don't think you'll get a retention deal unless you spend significantly more than your tariff each month. No harm in trying.0

You can get that with giffgaff on the O2 network for £10/£15 depending on exact number of mins a month, or on Three for £10 a month (12 month contract).
Best way to go into retention haggling is with an idea of any deals you want matching (and if they won't ask for your pac and move!).0 -
Of course, you could get the same bundle for about 99p a month if you use cashback and know what you're doing - and after selling the phone it would be less. However, the "if" is rather an important qualifacation!0

For info, your contract isn't 'coming to an end'. It will continue on the same basis as now until you terminate. SIM-only deals usually have a 30 day lock-in, after the first month.0
