Offered Xperia X10 Mini Pro 500mins Ultd txts and Ultd (!) internet for £22 on a 24 month contract.
Actually better than I was expecting but I don't need that many mins so I got my PAC and I'm off to T-Mobile to get 300mins, ultd texts, ultd internet and £5 quidco in my pocket for the Wildfire0 -
I have been offered nothing more than what is on the website either so I've just requested my PAC code and shall be looking at getting a HTC Desire elsewhere. Hurmph! I've been with them for years...looks like customer retention is NOT high on their list of priorities anymore. Shame.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'm coming to the end of my 12mth Simplicity deal which was £20 with 800 mins, 1600 texts and Unlimited internet. I'd like to save a little bit of money if poss, I'd be happy with 400 mins, I use an iPhone 3GS and have o2 broadband. What could I try to bargain for at either £10 or £15 on another 12mth contract? Or is it worth sitting tight for a short while?
Thanks.0 -
Hi Marky,
If you ordered your tmobile deal online for £15pm how did it get changedd to £10??
O2 were able to offer me... NOTHING different to new customers. Poor show. And they dont have any refurbished phones or know when they are getting any in.
Don't know how/why it was changed. I found out when I registered with tmobile website. Once I was verified I checked my account, that was when I realised that I was on a £10 contract. I was worried at that point they had put me on one that did not have internet so I called them. I asked the girl to confirm the amount and what I got for my money three times during the conversation which she did. And just before I ended the call she asked me if I wanted another line for £8 per month. I had to decline as the rest of the family have a year left on their contract.0 -
I called upgrades, and after being bombarded with the recorded message that "one of our UK team will be with your shortly." They might be based in the UK, but doesn't mean they can speak English! So didn't get anywhere again...Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Just called o2 again, about to actually get my pac having called them a few days ago and being offered nothing better than a new customer. at which they stated they couldnt offer anything anymore, but tonight-
Got offered deal of the day apparently at £24pm 24mths 600mins + Utxts + 500mb + free HTC smart + Payg mobile net dongle + £5 credit
Iphone 4 £40pm 1100mins, Utxts, 750mb £88 one off charge
still too ££ for my liking but deals none the less compared to the website.
They said they couldnt do any discounts on simplicity deals0 -
Perhaps they are panicing all their customers are jumping ship and have realised that it might help to keep some!!! Bit late for me though...Doh!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

i've just got off retentions at o2 as i was after a new iphone 4...
currently spending about £20 pm on simplicity
Enquired about ip4, £35 18mths 300mins...
They got back to me and said they could do 500mins for the same price, I said i'd think about it. They rang back (as promised) in teh afternoon asking me what I wanted to do. I told htem that data allowance is only 500mb, and whilst unsure if I'd go over that, Tesco (who use o2 I added) offer 1gb of data.
o2 then told me that they use a "different server" to o2 themselves. I then apologised telling o2 I've wasted their time and will go with Tesco, that was that... no counter offer, nothing, despite stating that i can get a shorter contract, mroe minutes and more data for the same monthly tariff!0
