Any comments regarding my query?
Please
I doubt you'll get it reinstated, they are tight these days. Its hard enough getting discount for being a paying customer, never mind having a mate that works there.;)
But i'm just speculating, so you'll have to try and see, or call retentions and ask.0 -
Finally got my upgrade to go through properly, £25 a month Reconditioned 16gb 3gs 300 mins unlimited sms 500 data, free o2 to o2 calls. 24 Months
Don't see any mention of the free o2 to o2 calls on the order , but hopefully its sorted. Called this morning and the cheapest i got offered was £30 a month and 89 for the handset.
So it pays to call and speak to someone else.
It was quite strange, I got my iphone 3gs...not only the ear phone is a 3g version, plus my manual is also for 3G iphone..not 3GS...anyone have the same issue? How can I tell this is a 3gs phone not 3g....god did they send me a 3g iphone?0 -

If it has a compass app then its definitely a 3gs,0 -
I rang up retentions today for an upgrade for the iphone 3GS they offered me the following on an 18 month agreement.
Refurb 16GB Iphone 3GS free cost.
600 mins inc 200 extra bolt on minutes
Unlimited Texts
500MB Data
Free Weekend calls (Additional bolt on at no extra cost) not sure how i managed that but i took it otherwise!
Free Visual Voicemail - As it's an Iphone plan i believe!
£32 18mth agreement phone was free, in theory i got an extra bolt on to supplement the 200 extra minutes that i already got originally. Persevere i tried, ringing at least 10 times to get a decent deal! as i wanted Landlines calls, and they wouldn't give me it! But with the weekend calls, its useful as i doesn't eat out of my allowance! Is the above a good deal?0 -
They don't do free o2 to o2 calls or free landline calls anymore, you can't even buy them as a bolt on for £7.50 they have taken them off the website in the last few days.
I got free o2 to o2 calls with my upgrade, and i wanted them changed to landlines and they said they don't do those bolt ons anymore.0 -
I had never been offered free landline/o2-02 calls before my call on the 18th (and I have called them quite a few times over the last few weeks), but was definitely offered them then, so I imagine they are still available.0

I suggest guys who want free landline calls call O2 retention team between 7pm-8pm... I guess their system offers different plans on different hours. You need to convience them you make a lot of phonecalls to landlines, otherwise their system won't approve you need that bolt-on therefore won't be able to set that plan for you.0

Yes i did see that function, but still they should give me a 3GS earphone, not a 3G one, they have very different look. My BF got reboxed 3GS too, I surprisely found out his earphone is wrong too...
So I hugely doubt O2 offers all 3gs rebox cusmoters wrong earphones.
I've requested them to send me a new reboxed phone. Let's see whether they would cheat again..0 -
MrsStan got the following yesterday evening:
300 mins
free web
free landline calls
reconditioned 3GS
Unlimited texts
£26 a month ( I think)
So you can get the landline calls bolton. That was before 19.00 i think too, although she had to prove she needed it (was easy, downloaded the bills from o2 website and after some work in Excel we broke it down between mobile and landline).0 -
Is there a specific number for retentions?
I called 202 there and got the following:
I had been due an upgrade back in May and decided I wanted to wait on the Iphone 4g.
They advised me to move on to Simplicity until then.
Since then, i have decided that i would prefer an HTC Desire so i called today.
They would only offer me the tariffs that i could see on the website and therefore would charge me for the handset unless i went for an expensive monthly tariff.
I have been with O2 for more than 10 years and have 2 accounts with them, one is for my wife.
I said that Vodafone could offer me a better tariff with a free phone and she said that they couldn't match it so would i like my PAC code.
I expected her to put me through to retentions first but there was no mention of it, all she could do was offer me different handsets.
I have always got a better deal in the past by getting put through to retentions but as she didn't seem bothered i wondered can i contact them direct.
If someone can let me know then number, or a better way to resolve this it would be much appreciated as i would rather stay with O2 than go to Vodafone.0
