I got offered Reconditioned 3gs £31 over 18 months 300 mins unlimited sms and 500 data. Not very good in my opinion so didn't take it. Same deal was £27 over 24 months
I just got my my upgraded phone from O2...
Very surprised, they've put a 3G ear phone in the box!!!!!! And I cannot even tell whether the phone is 3g or 3gs from the phone's back case. it only says Iphone 16GB, plus the instructions in the box and the flyer all said IPHONE 3G.....no where can prove this is a 3GS from the look
I complained this to O2, they said I can go to any O2 store to exchange the ear phone, I'm not that fool, so called one O2 store, and they confidently said they cannot do that, and none o2 store can exchange for me. I believed that too, of course they can't just open a new iphone and give me the things in it...so I called back to o2, spent totally 3 hours on the call, finally they said they will send me another reconditioned 3GS, and will ensure all I will get are the same for iphone 3GS...
So guys if you getting a reconditioned iphone 3gs, definitely check the things you get from them, they may cheat you...0 -
Whats the best deal o2 have offered on the HTC desire?
I currently have the f+f 30% discount, sim going to have to cancel that i imagine to get the best deal and presumably then look to reinstate the 30% discount.
Can i also do that? (my friend still works there)
Thanks0 -
I called back and got offered Iphone 3GS Reconditioned, 300 mins Unlimited SMS 500 Data 24 month for £25 and £26 for the handset. 24 Months is too long for me, so I didn't take it.0

Ah good old reliable O2 strikes again, knew it was too good to be true. They managed to completely mess up the order putting me on a tariff costing £40 a month and no free o2 calls, plus they say the handset is out of stock.
Have to wait now for them to go and listen to the recording of the call and see what they come up with.
Update, they just called back denying all knowledge of the deal I agreed to and refuse to give me the free o2 to o2 calls.0 -
Spoken to o2 about 5 times this wknd. loads of silly offers and then some sense... free 3gs 16gb reconditioned black, all the texts, 300 mins, 500mb data, all for £27 on 18 months. (Funniest 'best offer' was £89 8gb recond phone for £35 a month and 300 mins... ridiculous!)
Happy with what i got... after being at £32, £31 and told by 3 people thats the best they can do. The final call i made was best, seemed strange, usually went through straight to retention but after starting with the upgrades side it seemed to be a different call centre... this time after being transferred to retention he plumped straight for exactly what i wanted. still think you can get this for £25 after a previous post, but we won't cry over 2 quid.
just shows o2 don't change, be persistent, end the conversation after a while if you're getting nowhere and just call back for a different person.
done deal! looking forward to next time in 18 months!0 -
I have been able to upgrade through o2 for 3 months now and want a white blackberry bold 9700 - but they can only offer it in black for £30p/m, 300 minutes same as website
. I'm on a simplicity tariff and only need to give a month's notice - should I get the white bold on o2 through carphone warehouse for £30 p/m with 600 minutes & unlimited internet (permanent unlike o2 who will only do internet free until Sept) , would anyone else be inclined to go for the CPW deal as opposed to direct from o2?
Also would there be a way for me to transfer my phone number over?
Thanks
(Sorry if in the wrong place!)
Ah this is what I want too!
Guess we have to go through cpw0 -
I just gave o2 retentions a call, and it seems as though the tariffs for the Samsung Galaxy S have improved slightly.
I was offered:
24 months, £35pcm, 600 mins, unltd texts, free landline calls, unltd data, free phone. For 18 months it was £5pcm more.
24 months, £30pcm, 300 mins, unltd texts, free landline calls, unltd data, free phone. £5pcm more for 18 months.0 -

Finally got my upgrade to go through properly, £25 a month Reconditioned 16gb 3gs 300 mins unlimited sms 500 data, free o2 to o2 calls. 24 Months
Don't see any mention of the free o2 to o2 calls on the order , but hopefully its sorted. Called this morning and the cheapest i got offered was £30 a month and 89 for the handset.
So it pays to call and speak to someone else.0
